Wilfried Zaha return

Pretty sure the tax hit is a big one.
Whether it is a double hit on last year and every year he plays over here if he comes back I am not too sure but I think that is the case.
You have to pay tax on your earnings in both Countries even if you only earn in one.

supposedly still not fit enough and he and his family are struggling to settle in Lyon.

The grass isn't always greener springs to mind.

You should have stayed at Palace.

I'm sure he wakes up hearing that song in his head. 🙁

Too old,too late ,we might as well focus on having Johnny Byrne back, gone finished over a definite dead parrot.
That is a shame, because he is exactly the kind of player we need right now.

You can't be serious?

Are you new watching Palace?

Wilf has not offered us anything for years before he left and spent most of his time injured or on the floor crying.

Former managers have even hinted he has attitude problem & we heard it at United which people brushed off but now many years later he leaves Palace look whats happened.

He had so much potential and wasted 50% of it.

What a load of nonsense

He kept us up for most of the time we have been in the Premier League. What other player did more?

Those 15 goals in PV’s first season must’ve been a figment of my imagination then!!

You are repeating the same old BS the media do.

1 man does not make a team.

PZ Eagle is spot on Cabaye who was not in his prime was very important & people must have forgotten that man named Murray who scored 7 out of 17 games in one season.

But Im wrong it's all Wilf no one else contributed

@eritheagle When did he score 15 goals in a season never you do not even know the proper stats.

His highest was 14 with only 1 assist (half of those was penalties)

Who said no one else contributed? For us that go regularly, Wilf was a very important part of the team and when we played to his strengths he was, at time, unplayable. You have always had a downer on him, but I think you are making yourself look a bit silly imo.
As an aside season 20/21 he scored 14 league goals and 1 cup goal = 15 in a season

He will have lost a bit of pace, but look at the stat for how many times we won without him. Wilf and Ebbo either side of Eddie N? Yes please! He's only 31, prodigal son twice in one career - I still believe. Coming back might well give him the boost both he needs and we need..

Very True and the tiresome falsehood that ‘Wilf kept us up’ is very disrespectful to the other players on the pitch.

As for now; his pace has gone and he is struggling for full fitness. His temperament has always been suspect and the baggage that comes with him we can well do without…not to mention his wages, which were out of kilter with the rest of the squad.

I wouldn’t be entertaining the idea of a return for him and hopefully neither are the club.

He has constantly made the wrong moves in his career. The only good one was moving back to us. At that he should have had a clause in his contract and left when arsenal came knocking for 50 million. Instead he ended up sulking for a whole season.
