Once again with the "if"s. I have put my opinion without any of those conditions being included and until the last few years it was a situation that I would barely have registered.
At least you now accept that these are your opinions, and not factual. Opinions, that in my opinion, have been shown to be unwarranted in their conclusions.

For sure these issues were largely unrecognised a few years ago. That though is true of a number of things which have progressively begun to be accepted and responded to. That this could also cause attention seekers and the mentally frail to imagine things presents additional challenges to those trying to help people.

The figures quoted for teenagers' surgeries after a diagnosis of gender dysphoria aren't a matter of opinion.

Perhaps, but even if true it is very misleading. Worthy of a tabloid. Or a right wing think tank with an agenda. They are extrapolations from other data from which a number of assumptions have been made.

I have prostate cancer which was diagnosed in 2010. I have had surgery on the same area 4 times since but only one had a connection to the cancer.

Those 3 might have been after my cancer diagnosis but had nothing to do with it.

If your opinion that’s irrelevant so be it. I don’t.

This is what following the science really means!
Untrue. It’s what following popular prejudices results in.

That Trump does it is predictable. That anyone in the UK agrees is shameful.

One major difference with mastectomies is that they can only be performed a limited number of times.

Why isn't it shameful that female athletes should be allowed to compete against others who don't have innate physical advantages?

So can many procedures, mastectomies aren’t unique. What has been done to me cannot now be done again.

Breast reduction procedures cannot be reversed but implants can replace the appearance, if not the function.
What's the relevance? Breast reductions are not the same as mastectomies.

Undoubtedly true but to ban all transsexuals from all sport at all levels is inhuman and uncaring.

It needs to be handled sensitively, with attention to both the individual’s situation and the sport.

A blanket ban is thoughtless and unnecessary.

Imagine thinking it's shameful to stop female athletes from being beaten up and bruised by a man.
Too much of a reach for me. We can only hope that a woman who's just been bashed up takes some comfort from the fact that she's validated someone else's feelings.

Why? Because it hurts someone's feelings? How about the feelings of the females who have trained for years?

To be clear. It's banning men from participating in women's sports.

They (men) can still participate in the men's sports. I don't see the issue here 🤷🏻‍♂️

Breast reductions are almost exclusively what are involved in the cases under review. If you want to categorise them separately to mastectomies fine. Mastectomies can be partial but it’s ok. They too can be restored with implants.
The figures quoted were listed as mastectomies. Once again; these are teenagers.

No, because it’s both unfair and unnecessary in many circumstances. Take my own sport, where women can, and do, compete on equal terms with men. Many sports don’t depend on physical strength. They depend on skill. In such circumstances it gives no advantage at all to a transsexual to participate in whatever group they feel comfortable in.

In the one you quoted, the one produced by the right wing think tank, they were.

In the one provided by me, the one which was more detailed and objective which concluded there was no need for concern, they weren’t. They were described as breast reductions.

I wonder why?

Since the article refers to trans athletes competing in women's sports how is that relevant?

Because they're trying to hide the truth.
