Which is why the process is long and thorough. The risks are high, involving complex issues.

What the suicide rate is after surgery will be a consideration. So too will be the suicide rate of those denied surgery.

A political decision to set it higher than that has been made.

A child of 12 with gender dysphoria would be given counselling, alongside their parents if possible.

Hormonal treatments cannot start until they are 16. Surgery is unavailable until they reach 18. The same age you can vote and get married without your parent’s consent.
 
At the end of the day if someone over the age of consent decides to mutate themselves they have a mental health issue. If they are below the age of consent then their parents have a mental health issue.

Lucky now we have an adult in charge of the Western world and this mutilation of young kids nonsense is on the way out.

It's always the looney lefties that go after our kids.

It destroys their reproductive organs as well. What if they grew up and decided they wanted to have their own children? How can anyone take that away over if a girl plays with toy cars or a boy plays with a Barbie once? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sure. It could be just a phase they went through as children. Or they could have grown up to be gay.

I appreciate your concerns, eagle, but that last comment is just silly. Do we really believe that if a parent sees their girl playing with toy cars that they will consider a sex-change op on that alone? Come on now, mate.

I'm hoping you won't put this post down to me being a 'loony leftie'.

You do understand, do you not, that mentally ill people of various stages have children right?

There are a small percent of the population who are certainly neurotic enough to still operate within society but have various mental issues that lead them to think many strange things....Indeed if you look for what is being said this behaviour is well documented.

Children's lives are certainly being destroyed by this funded, taught and supported ideology. Indeed, the only pushback has been recent.

Better believe it. It happens. And just because a girl acts like a tom boy when she is younger does not mean she wants to be a boy when she is older 🤷🏻‍♂️

Its a serious concern parents (mainly ones with purple or pink hair) castrate their children over these small things.

As it's a US politics thread I'll loop it back into thankfully with Trump back in this will start to stop.

Imagine taking away a child's choice or mutilating them before they even reach puberty.
