It will depend on race, unfortunately. Race will determine the type of protests. I'm sure you can imagine what I mean. I'll say this, if it's a white American there'll be a few candlelit vigils and a protest march at most.

whereas with a different ethnicity of victim, there would be looting and buildings catching fire

The left are selective over moral outrage. They celebrated when Charlie Kirk was murdered. As Stirling said, no-one wanted that woman dead. But she chose not to obey a police instruction, and by continuing to drive that vehicle, was posing a potential threat to police and others.
But we await due process

I disagree. As it is Trump led ICE, there will be worldwide protests. In any other world I would agree with you.
It does seem that the shooting was excessive and possibly avoidable but in the wise words of Wissie “ let’s wait and see before jumping to conclusions “. However in this case I suspect he has already reached his conclusion

My initial reaction is that it looks bad but as your Wissie quote says we mustn't jump or be led to wrong conclusions.
 
Of course the local politicians, from the Governor on down are mired in a major corruption scandal so this death is a gift for them to deflect attention away from that.

What I find incredible is that Waltz will not run again but a Democrat is already favourite to succeed him. If the locals vote for that then they really do need their heads examining.

My take on it from watching the video was that she acted dangerously and recklessly, and also the ICE agent drew and shot his weapon a bit too fast.

At the end of the day you don't drive at law enforcement and expect nothing to happen. She was asked to get out of the car and refused and then drove at the ICE agent.
 
Her shooting was totally unnecessary, but this is a situation created by idiotic policies and neglect by pro immigration politicians.
Illegals have no business being in the US. Trump is trying to clear up the mess in the only way now available. These kinds of flashpoints are inevitable. A woman has lost her life because she resisted authority. That was foolish, but the officers responsible for shooting her should be charged.
That does not mean that Trump's policy is wrong. That is just left wing spin.

Yes, clearly. She didn't drive at anyone, she was driving away from the scene.

Untrue. Walz has decided not to have campaigning distract him from the work he is doing to sort out the corruption that has been uncovered. He isn’t implicated himself. That’s why another Democrat will likely succeed him.

This story is the headline news on both Sky and BBC websites - why? Did this happen on British soil, was either the ICE guy or the poor woman British?
I have sympathy but by placing this story at the top of their pages is only trying to dictate a narrative rather than report an event.
