I agree but the system exists and is quite obviously not being used in the correct manner in this case. Is it because husband is a Tory Councillor or because her “crime” was during the summer riots? Take your pick

I have a suspicion she's not seen the error of her ways to the parole board. She has to admit that immigration and/or Islam had nothing to do with the murders. She should just pretend like everyone else does, frankly.

As I wrote elsewhere you would need to ask those responsible, presumably the police, for refusing it. I can only assume it’s due to concerns that the amount of attention her case is receiving could result in an upsurge of violence again which they wish to avoid.

I also assume that quiet, private arrangements are being negotiated to allow her to have contact with her family.

It obviously isn’t irrelevant to those making the decision. The lack of remorse and concerns about sparking more unrest will likely be behind it. No one other than those involved need an explanation.

If they're that worried about an upsurge in violence on her release they'd better keep her inside forever.

It literally says she qualifies ffs. No explanation has been given as to the decision. So she is being further punished because of media attention? That’s fair isn’t it 🤔

Qualifies by reason of time served doesn’t, I imagine, mean it’s automatic but subject to review and discretion.

It could be in her, and her family’s, interests to keep the media away. I have little doubt that the authorities are trying to make safe arrangements for her to see her folk. Not so much because of her but because of them.
