Tory Leadership Race

It’s really not difficult. The government at the time, who were footing the bill, stated it was costing £8M per day to house the flood of people arriving illegally. That figure is now £9M per day with increases in numbers since the original figure was released. Times that by 365 gives you £3.2Billion per year.

The number of genuine asylum seekers within that figure is SO minimal as to be insignificant.

That is just the financial cost of housing them. It doesn’t include the monetary handouts they are being given, the new mobile phones they are given upon arrival, the drain on our health and education services and the cost to society with the untold crimes they are already responsible for.
Problem is we give asylum to a huge percentage regardless of circumstances, our inability to deport people, especially criminals is sick joke. much of this is dirteckly due to the ECHR abuse

I know many shouldn’t be here anyway but mobile phones are essential these days. Completing government forms for them to begin with. Of course nearly all would have either thrown their mobile phone overboard to hide their country of origin or just accept another new free mobile. The ones who pass themselves off as teenagers when they’re about 30 to get into school is beyond ridiculous.

I posted in the immigration thread this morning about the 18 year old who has been arrested for attempted murder. This was on a female hotel worker at the hotel he was staying in. This happened at the local train station in Walsall I think.

You forgot that once their application has been granted (home run) they then request visas for the rest of the family.

I agree but the issue of failing to deport people that shouldn’t be here is even bigger than granting asylum to those who do not deserve it. We just give in and give up trying to do anything about the millions who shouldn’t be here. Deporting those would save £billions! Funnily enough the billions that Labour are looking to raise with their October 30th budget, which is going to completely screw the hard working people of this Country.

On Monday I shall be partaking in 'Virtual Connect Calling' with Jacob Rees-Mogg.

I shall engage in conversation with other Conservative members, remind them to cast their vote and explain why we need Robert Jenrick as our next leader.

He’s certainly a better option than Kemi Badenoch.

Will it be in black and white and will you both be using one of those old telephones with separate ear and mouth pieces?

OK usual suspects, where are your accusations of racist, misogynist Tories now?
This has reminded me of a recent video of Diane Abbott at an event where she’s talking about reparations and tries to sound like she has an accent from the Caribbean. People who do this don’t realise how stupid they look. Add Kamala Harris, Steve McLaren and that scouse div when he was playing in France. Probably the best 2.

The Tory base are hopeless.

They chose Cameron over Davies and now this.

I think this is probably the blue rinsers....in other words the Tory women more than the men. What they have done here is so out of touch boomer that in a way it's kind of fitting.

I'm not that fond of Reform after Tice's words on Robinson but this is at least good news for them.

Badenoch will probably get votes from upward thinking Black people, but others will see her as White on the inside.
She will make the right noises, but I no longer trust the Tories on immigration. The Parliamentary party is still ruled by liberal moderates.

I plan to vote Reform, so it makes no difference to me.
