Tory Leadership Race

I thought Badenoch came across well in PMQs. I know the whole exercise is a waste of time but she looked miles better than Starmer.

I thought the exact opposite. Twice she commented about Starmer not budging from his prepared script and was caught out when Starmer responded that it was an odd thing to say when she was reading everything from notes herself

My wife watched them and said she asked him something like, "Would you leave Trump alone with your teenage daughter?" which suggests she knows very little of Boris's history.
Boris is an admirer of Churchill who had his own wilderness years although that seems like Jerry Lewis admiring Paul Scofield's acting career.
When Daniels said that I thought it pretty weird coming from a former p00rn star. She literally choose to spend a career surrounded by men you wouldn't want to leave alone with your teenage daughter.

Bringing back an old thread.
Baddenoch appears to be out of her depth, while her adversary - Jenrick, talks a lot of sense.
Time for her to be removed and asap and let him have a go.
I could see him as a leader moving forwards.
KB's question times are embarrassing and she never scores points when they should be so easy to score.
Get rid.

They are a morally bankrupt political party lacking political talent and policy in the main. There is nobody else anywhere near credible to lead them forward , not that Bad-Enoch is credible herself. Political oblivion is what this Party deserves following the last 14 years however the Daily Mail/Telegraph/Express/Sun brainwashed readership collective probably think differently.

I agree that Jennick is obviously the better leader.

However, the Tories aren't really being honest with themselves, the election of Badenoch as leader reveals that the Tory grassroots is actually still a majority blue liberal demographic that created their mess in the first place. The Cornwall types still find a home there. I think anyone actually on the right quite likes Badenoch but she's clearly not their best leadership option....But the Tory party is very very very boomerish with an old membership that is too stuck in its PC 'I'm not a racist' ways.....and I say that with love for this very same demographic because they are my people.

I know that in its heart of hearts their base would have Cameron back leading in a second if it could. It can't appeal to the young up and coming right who are nearly all in Reform (out of a sense of betrayal) and I can't see that changing.

From the small video clips i've seen, I'd say Jenrick was by far the better speaker and appears to go into any debate very well prepared. Very much a cut above Badenoch, who is starting to look uncomfortable as leader.
And gauging their performance against Starmer isn't really a proper test of strength. Starmer just hasn't adjusted to speaking politics, and his speeches are generally tepid.

I voted for Robert Jenrick in the Leadership Contest, I never considered voting for Kemi Badenoch.
I am advised that David Cameron has been advising Kemi in relation to her performances at PMQs.

To be a leader , you've either got 'it', or you haven't. Jenrick has it. Farage has it. Starmer hasn't, and Badenoch hasn't. No amount of coaching is going to change that, as we've seen with both of them.

A few more defections to Reform and she won't be needed at PMQ's.
