In what seems an impossibly unlikely event then yes they would.

We cannot though plan for the future hoping for such extremely unlikely outcomes. We need to prepare for the worst, expect the most probable and hope for the best.

Fiddling whilst Rome burns and relying on the philosophy of Mr Micawber is for fools. Of which there are a regrettably high number, some in high office.

Any consensus here is not worth a pint of p*ss!

This place is the most unrepresentative source of average opinion as is ever likely to be found.

A good rule of thumb is to decide what the general opinion on any subject is here and then research the complete opposite to try and discover what might be rational.

Yet opposition to immigration is growing all the time and so is Reform’s popularity. It’s quite helpful you deny this is happening.

So how much climate change is caused by man and how much is caused by nature and natural cosmic events? Ask your climate expert.

The other good rule of thumb is, if in doubt over any issue, see what Wisbech is saying and take the opposite view - you won't go far wrong.

If I could suggest one amendment to the already very good rules created for this site, it would be to make posts invisible to those you have 'ignored'.
That way, they cannot respond to you without a come back. They would then have to log out to see posts, which would make it a tedious task. If they did it regularly, it might be worth making that a yellow/red card offence.
This might encourage some members to ignore trolling and time wasting types if they are reluctant to let them have the last word.

Just an idea.

I don’t deny it though. The opposition to illegal immigration is almost universal, but not to legal immigration. In places like this there is a regrettable confusion between the two.

Reform are on the crest of a wave, but what people like you don’t understand is so too is the opposition to them. Voting against them, rather than in favour of another party, is going to play a significant part in the next GE. You saw how tactical voting impacted the recent bye election in Wales. I anticipate a coalition that excludes Reform. If the Tories did a deal with them that would be them finished for sure.

You are attempting to do what the right get so angry about!

You are trying to “cancel” people’s right to free speech. You always had the opportunity to ignore whatever posts you chose to. It just demands self discipline.

That you think people are “trolling” is merely evidence of your own sense of insecurity. They aren’t wasting anyone’ time. Certainly not their own. If you choose to be impacted by them that’s your own responsibility. Just ignore.
