It would appear Glasner doesn't share your view,, even with his knowledge that acquiring players is not like popping into Tesco.Current set up has only been in place a week with Johnson replacing Textor! Palace will have who they want lined up, but it will depend on departures. Its similar to dominoes, once one falls everything starts to move.
As stated by another poster, acquiring players is not the same as popping into Tesco and buying a new loaf of bread, its a lot more complicated. The main criteria's are they going to improve the squad and are they the right character to gel with the squad and Glasners tactics.
He's probably in a better position than posters on here as to the state of the squad going into the new season.
No doubt he doesn't want to go into fixtures again this season with a bench containing 2 keepers, 2 veterans and 3 untried youngsters as happened on a number of occasions last season.
We still managed a fine season and the club is well run, but there does appear to be a mis match between what Glasner wants and what he can get at Palace.
What Johnson brings it's too early to tell, but it's unlikely that the club will spend huge sums.
If e.g Eze was unavailable through injury it's unlikely we'd have a player of equivalent talent to replace him.
Top clubs have the luxury to replace like for like when players are unavailable, and I don't see us being in that category.
