Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

I was in conversation regarding Emergha last night. Evidently he is well 'North' of 6 ft.
Managed by Liam Rosenior who revived Hull's fortunes and took them to a 7th place finish but was rewarded with the sack at the end of 2023-24 season. This season just completed, Hull narrowly escaped the drop finishing 21st.
Google has him at 6'4 1/2".

We haven't got a great track record of producing our own top strikers.

In the last 50 years or so I can only think of Swindlehurst and Morrison.

Even people like Wright came from non League rather than through our system.

We're not so bad at full backs and wingers.

Just as I think about it, who is good at producing top strikers? They don't really grow on trees, seemingly. Seems like quite a few come from either foreign leagues or from lower leagues.

I heard that we were ‘quite far down the line’ with two signings at this stage.

One of them could be Eze’s chum Bright Samuel as he’s apparently out of contract and we have a long standing interest.

I would imagine that the club have some sort of idea whether Guehi (and possibly Eze and JPM ) will be staying , and you would think that this will have a significant bearing on what we do.

In any event we’re likely to be in the market for a central defender.
Chaloboah was never replaced and Riad is out for at least the remainder of the year.
Ward has departed and then there’s the uncertainty over Guehi.

Regarding Goodman and Whitworth, I would look at loans for both, they're at an important stage in their development and need game time. Goodman should go to a championship club but returning to Wimbledon wouldn't be the worst thing. Whitworth might go back to League One.

clickbait is saying we have bid for omari hutchinson not a bad shout if true..
Ipswich had a very talented but raw team this season. Sort of players you can see starring at top half clubs in a few years but this season was just too early to have a team like that without experienced hands mixed in.

He's a very skilful forward, but from what I've observed often without end product.
Plays in a similar position to Esse and Sarr too, which makes me doubt the veracity of the story.

Well, Wimbledon did get promoted today. Goodman made one blunder but a defender cleared it off the line. They both appear to have had good seasons. Maybe take one back to cover and play in early rounds of cups as Turner is on 40,000 a week and his contract is up

Story for Hutchinson is £20m to Chelsea presumably, I think he was on loan from them. Great prospect but ultimately plays in Eze position so along with Esse can only be considered a replacement!
