He was doomed the second he arrived! The board have absolutely destroyed the whole of the work Glasner had done. From the second we won the FA Cup it was all going wrong.
How Glasner did what he did last season I don`t know.
Its a total disaster and saw this coming the second Eze was going. No succession planning at all, pathetic it really is.
Championship is guaranteed and was before we lost Max and Munoz.
The fact that Sarr and Mateta behaved sums up the back scene issue with the club in general.
Looking forward to proper football and no VAR its far more enjoyable than the Pantomime biased prem.
Up the Palace!

I think 'total disaster' is going overboard.
Being fairly sanguine about the situation, we should look at pros and cons of current status quo.

In the last fortnight we have enjoyed a landmark performance in the club's history going to a packed-out, hostile stadium in Istanbul for a proper European away fixture with huge sense of occasion against a real vintage force of Turkish football...and we should have come away winners.

EPL performances have not been good and we look very fragile and unbalanced. Yesterday was destroyed by the red card but I can see positives with the defence emerging, as goals were conceded from set pieces but not from open play, which was due to last line heroics and organising from Hendo.

I only caught highlights but I was concerned that there didnt seem to be anyone out there throwing the shoulders and rebel-rousing the 9 outfield players. Sage is not as animated as OG was by long chalk. My chief bugbear is that the team has been stripped of experience and maturity as we don't retain players and dont sign seasoned EPL pros and so leadership and 'flight hours' (in pilot terms) have evaporated from the team.

If as suspected Sage goes after Liverpool. It begs the question why not try something different.

Henderson
Richard’s, lerma, disaster, mitchell
Pino Hughes wharton mcneil

Whoever is fit but it pains me to say Eddie

You can bet your life that’s how Dyche/frank/roy lines them up
Would give us more of a chance of grinding out enough wins and draws to stay up ……

I’ve tried to support Sage. He’s had a difficult job for the reasons we all know but what bugs me is the chances we are conceding from not picking up players at the far post on corners. Even a pub team manager would have sorted this by now. And what about our so called wing backs being caught so far up the pitch that they cease to be defenders?

Has he gone yet?

I would be happy with dyche I don't care about fancy football just 3 points at the weekend. Arsenal will win the league playing shite football again and do you think any of their fans care?

I think Pierre Sage is a top manager with a great, ambitious football philosophy. Ironically I think he could take over at City or Arsenal at be a success...owing to his preference for high pressing, high possession style football. Genuinely think he'll go on to be one of the top coaches in the game and we'll look back and take pride in the fact he was here for a small part of the journey.

He's probably just the wrong man at the wrong time for us.

Sage out. Frank in. Scrape a 15th place finish, then rebuild from there.

Wanted Frank pre Glasner tbh. The issue for me is that I think we offer very little in terms of good players. OK we saw what Mateta did in Besiktas game, great performance. Don't forget they changed 10 players for that game. We changed the same for Fulham and we're as bad as Brighton away. Luckily Fulham were terrible up top or would have been at least 3 down.

‘High pressing, high possession style’ ? Either I’ve missed something or you’ve reached for Willo’s crack pipe 😳.

The problem is its all so obvious, everyone is in agreement. The general consensus among palace fans is, he seems like a good guy, we all want him to succeed, his not had the easiest job and has inherited a pretty poor defence.

We're not good enough defensively to play his system, as a top coach, he should be the first person to identify this and adapt, so far he seems unwilling, so for that he has to be sacked. Wrong guy, wrong place, wrong time.

You've missed something.

He's spoken many times of his preference for this style of play. He wants to have the ball, control games and win the ball high. Our plight at the moment is due to not quite having the calibre of players to execute it.

Every manager wants to do that. It’s all talk. Anyway I’m pissed so I might be wrong 😬!
