Reform

The media are carrying the story that mr. Musk has signed a cheque "for the biggest ever u.k. political party ever"with that kind of financial backing the Reform Party may well beat the Tories at the next General Election, attract even more Tory M.P.s and split the right wing vote, oh happy days!Starmer the stayer.
🤣 his own party will get rid of him before the electorate have a chance.

I meet my MP by appointment. The time is limited so there aren’t “little chats”!

Brexit is history. If rejoining becomes an issue I will take greater interest in her attitude to it then.
Brexit is history! Am I hearing correctly? You have been consistently mentioning it for the last 8 years

I'm not worried who leads Labour but the Reform Party eating the tory lunch will keep Labour in power for many years.

Of course it is! As soon as Parliament decided to enact Article 50 it was finished. Arguing for a confirmationary referendum, or for Parliament to refuse to accept, was pointless. The focus was then to minimise the damage and begin to build towards the point where rejoining becomes the preferred option. Which is a lot closer than some imagine.

More likely is a series of coalitions. Don’t rule out the Lib Dems having a significant role in the next few Parliaments. Many disillusioned Labour voters will end up there as they will not be able to stomach either the Tories or Reform who will fight each other for the same voters.

A Labour/Lib Dem coalition looks the most likely to me. Joined by the remaining Tories if the right split off and go over to the dark side.

Heaven help us! Having Ed Davey anywhere near Government is a horrifying thought, still perhaps he will parachute into Downing Street and celebrate by singing his new single on TOTP (is that still a thing?)

I think the Lib dems will suffer a leadership loss, I predict a return for "its a Knockout" and Ed Davey will find his true vocation.

For “ minimise damage and begin to build towards the point where removing becomes the preferred option” read “ unfortunately the unwashed racists had a vote so let’s make sure this does not work”

So might my party !
For avoidance of doubt I voted for Robert Jenrick.👍

Kemi will not last the year. She is just not up to the job.
