Reform

Ok, but no one made Farage push Habib and Lowe out.....that appears to be his decision.

I get the idea of a big tent, but that's not what is happening is it. If Farage wants to push the right out of Reform then I myself am not interested and that right wing will look elsewhere.

Lowe is very popular with the base especially and since it appears that the chairman seems to be a part of all this, there is quite the schism.the chairman is not that popular with the base and these accusations don't appear to be panning out.

If Farage doesn't sort this out and Habib and Lowe start a new party he will only have himself to blame because I have to be true to my principles and vote for people who would actually solve problems.

Does that make a difference? Don't know.....Does it matter, as like Matov says we know in truth there is no voting our way out of this.

The fun and games starts when there's a collapse......Hopefully a long time off, but you have seen what happens in France and Romania when anyone actually right wing looks to be taking over.....the same would happen here.
Farage has history with falling out with colleagues. The first and only UKIP MP walked/became independent and now it's happening again.

Reform will always be a protest vote only

Well, Starmer doesn't think that, his actions clearly show otherwise, he's made very 'Reform' like comments recently and just hired a consultant who's been very critical of multiculturalism.

The left are extremely unpopular for a governing party and there is a clear populist position on the right to oppose them. Reform or whoever replace them have a two year period to sort themselves out before they have to concern themselves with stability and consistency on message.

Not that I think that this country's problems can be sorted out democratically as events in France, Germany and Romania have convinced me that democracy in Europe is more myth than truth. Hopefully I'm wrong about that.

The subject was welfare reform. Not the immigration status of those obtaining welfare.

Identifying cheats, wherever they exist, is the target. Beyond that I have no other comment.
Of course you don’t. Start with those who have no legal status here before hitting your own nationals, that’s not too hard to comprehend is it?

Reform is Nigel's party it was and possibly may still be a ltd company owned and controlled by him and he is an unelected leader.

He comes out with phrases like 'I don't fall out with people they fall out with me,' but the common factor is him.

He is a political grifter and I would argue cares more about himself than anyone else and does enjoy a good bandwagon to jump on

That is not to dismiss Reform as a political movement. There are people who clearly want change and feel the main parties do not represent their views. But Reform sometimes like every party do not help themselves with the often facile behaviour of Lee Anderson and the current very public internal scrapping taking place.

People like both Farage and Lowe. I am not a fan of either but I admit my views on Lowe are based purely on the fact that he owned the Saints!

Reform will do well short term as a protest party but need to do a lot more and maybe get a bit of diversity in their MP's to have a long term future

I still reckon at some point we will see some sort of accord/pact/merger with the Tories once they realise Badenoch is actually more of a disincentive than an asset.

Overcoming the issue of illegal immigration is a separate matter. Very important and very difficult.

Identifying fraud, wherever it exists, is essential.

You don’t ignore the second just because you haven’t yet succeeded with the first.

Due to the nation being under neo/social liberalism since...well it's arguable but definitely since the seventies plus the realities (and success story) of an aging population who, on average, have used up even a full 35 years worth of NI contributions after eight years retired the cost of welfare in the UK and in the west generally is unsustainable.

The facts on the ground aren't a matter of debate, the whole question is what is to be done about it.

The British state and Europe in general (unlike say Japan and other continents) has taken the view that it must go 'third worldist' and turn their countries into melting pots.....but as has been said many times this isn't only an economic ponzi scheme it's also a genuine threat to what these countries are in the first place.....a place is its people, it's not just an economic zone.

As I've said before, the cuts to welfare were always coming and that's independent of whether you have a left wing or right wing government.

All the establishment really cares about is itself, power and the wealth and well being of its own structures. You can expect that whatever the effects on the general population of us plebs that they will always ensure that they and their own families are well catered for.
