Reform

From a photo? Like I said, the intimidation isn't physical, just as the women who was arrested for being streets away from an abortion clinic wasn't a physical threat....I've explained what these people do.

You haven't answered the question by the way....You can hardly criticise Hrolf for that and then just ignore direct questions can you.
He can criticise me all he likes. Firstly, I can't see it, and second, any response would be pointless.

Arguing with the terminally deluded is a waste of time. It's like trying to argue with a Jehovah's Witness. They are plain bonkers.

According to the Telegraph Labour's Foreign Office are open to talks with Caribbean officials over slavery reparations.
That would be grounds for a national strike at the very least, in my opinion.

How dare they even contemplate spending taxpayers money on such absurdity.

Hahaha. Can’t handle the nonsense he peddles being challenged so uses the ignore button.

As funny as it is pathetic.

I suppose I always have a bit of time for those that I think are genuine believers in something or who aren't just plain evil.....independent of whether I agree with them or not.

You're right though, we all waste our time arguing the toss over this stuff.....all of it happens regardless of course but I've always looked at forums as political steam relief. Also, some of the drama can be entertaining.

Discussion is one thing. Gainsaying with the same old topics is a waste of time. Same old nonsense from the same old people. They aren't interested in reason, only dogma.

We need a better quality of debate with people who make reasoned arguments backed up with actual facts, not fantasy. Sadly, our government is trying to erase reality and replace it with propaganda.
It's like Stalin's Russia lite in Britain these days. I'm finding it difficult to engage with those that are advocates for the atrocious situation we are now forced to endure.

Rant over. 🙂

I get that, I've felt like that a few times.

Still, I'm a sucker for punishment.

I've literally answered why these fears are real and legitimate. People need to protect their mortgages and these people contain a subset who will go to any level to sack them.....It's true for whatever side of a political spectrum but more so the left.

The woman who was arrested wasn't intimidating or interfering with anyone, she was streets away from the clinic. If she was actually doing those things I would have agreed with what happened......and that's coming from myself who is very pro life.
The woman who was arrested was protesting in a restricted area around an abortion clinic. Why was it restricted? Because it was considered by people with more local knowledge than us to be close enough for those seeking the services of the clinic to be intimidated. People who are already feeling nervous, vulnerable and possibly embarrassed. Intimidation, whether intended or not, being a criminal act and a form of violence.

She was asked to move “streets away” so she could make her protest in an unrestricted area where she could do so legally and at no risk to herself. She refused.

Perhaps you will now apologise and agree with what happened.

Ok, but you do realise that those same people couldn't organise that same protest outside an abortion clinic. The fears of intimidation and doxing are the same.
Hardly the same. There was no exclusion zone, so far as I am aware, around the intended meeting place. Nor were the intended visitors anxious, nervous women who were feeling vulnerable and in need of support and advice. They were members and supporters of a political party. One not known for a prevalence of care and compassion for the vulnerable. One would think they were capable of handling criticism!

Yes, the woman was not banned from the area she was in. She was prohibited from protesting near the facilities for terminating nascent life. She was merely standing in a public thoroughfare that she was entitled to stand in. She had said that she might have been silently praying. The police interpreted this as 'protesting' - so basically arrested for thought crime - or perhaps for being a Christian.

Yep, it was absurd as she was not a threat in any one and not at the clinic.

Here we go again.

She, or rather the American “pro-life” activists who are behind all of this, managed to get her off the charge by claiming she wasn’t protesting but was “silently praying”. Something that has been suggested will need the law to be amended to ensure this deliberate manipulation cannot be used again. The same tactic has been used by them before, so action to restrict them is overdue. The woman is a pawn. However it is done we must ensure that those seeking to use legally available services can do so without them feeling they might be intimidated. She can pray silently all night long in places where they won’t feel intimidated. Which if the praying truly is the only objective means her rights would be fully protected.

There are issues I have with Reform since it's been trying to widen its appeal, however on free speech it's far better than what the neo and social 'liberals' have been doing in this country since Blair (and that includes the so called conservatives).

Here JD Vance points out the betrayal of freedoms enacted by these 'liberals' on people of conscience.
