I didn’t think it was stupid. Terrorists shorting and selling markets prior to terrorism happens.Just watched Casino Royale today (Daniel Craig version). What an absolute stonker of a film. The plot was a bit stupid, but the stunt scenes were amazing.
great film spoilt by the ridiculous bollock rope / chair bashing scene.Just watched Casino Royale today (Daniel Craig version). What an absolute stonker of a film. The plot was a bit stupid, but the stunt scenes were amazing.
Preferred the David Niven version, quite funny.great film spoilt by the ridiculous bollock rope / chair bashing scene.
Super Hans is a mensch.I'm watching episodes of Peep Show. Really purile humour. but I still find certain scenes just hilarious. Olivia Coleman before she hit the big time.
And he was so smooth the rope would have glanced off his sack.Preferred the David Niven version, quite funny.
Agreed it is a superb film. I always thought that scene encapsulated what the villain was all about.great film spoilt by the ridiculous bollock rope / chair bashing scene.
The sad thing about Bond films is that they all date. I remember Dr.No when it came out in the 1960’s - about the best thing I’d ever seen as a teenager - now look at it, and Goldfinger. The only one from that early era that works now is From Russia With Love - but not surprising as it had Connery and Robert Shaw. All the Roger Moore’s are just laughable as are the Brosnan ones. I like Craig - but who follows him? And when?Agreed it is a superb film. I always thought that scene encapsulated what the villain was all about.
Yes, he is suave on the outside. Yes, he might be a smooth international terrorist with elite connections. But underneath it all, he is a thief like any other and as unpleasant as his henchmen when the chips are down.
When the knacker-smashing fails to yield the desired results I love the way he muses something like "ok then, well let me feed you what you clearly do not value" as he whips out a pen knife.
I used to do the same watching the cars through the fence. Happy days.Used to go to Crystal Palace park and watch the racing through the fence. I don't remember seeing much - just an occasional blur as they went by and it was very loud indeed.
Talking Pictures are repeating Rumpole of the Bailey - some of the stories are a bit shonky but Leo McKern is great in the role.
I just thought the bollo bashing was somewhat impracticle.Agreed it is a superb film. I always thought that scene encapsulated what the villain was all about.

I haven’t watched OHMSS for years. All I can remember of it is Louis Armstrong’s song and Diana Rigg eating garlic to put Lazenby off!I just thought the bollo bashing was somewhat impracticle.
You get a good one & youre doubled over, next couple of swings hit your arse or thigh.
its just daft.
The Craig bond films are pretty good, especially 'casino'
liked spectre & skyfall
quantum is very 90s, iffy ,& Im disappointed with no time to die, killed by an effete old school rotter.
guess its all very personal though.
Lazenby , OHMSS sets the tone of the books imo. (that usually stirs the pot 🙂)
