Parish Out

Paris was caught between a rock and a hard place. He knew in October that Glasner was off and I suspect that eventually this leaked to the squad which hasn't helped their form.

So what do you do?

His last club sacked OG because he wouldn't commit to a new deal and they got tired of his games. As always though it's easy to sack someone but who do you replace him with.

I am sure that Parish has already identified his replacement, but if that person is already working you would have to wait until the end of the season or get involved in a tug of war.

Rightly or wrongly Parish has decided to tough it out until the end of the season.

Either decision was a tough call with no easy answer. I suspect the rest of this season will be a right off but OG will not want it to fall completely apart as that will impact his next job.

Do we know whether Parish and the board are aligned with that?

When I watched the OG press conference yesterday my first thought was "Mid transfer window, with negotiations ongoing for new players and a European play off fixture coming up. Strange timing. I wonder if OG has broken ranks and said this without agreement with the board?"

it is a bit ruff in the waters , but i would be more worried if Spammers was only 3points behind , reckon we could lose our next 5 and still be 6 to 9 points clear , would hope 2 wins in them 5 that way we can start to move forward again , lets hope the players come out fighting , because there still getting wages , still know the drill so cant say oh its glasners fault there not preforming , I didnt like my manager but I still done my job that I was paid for , and that was in both work and football , so deep breath everyone its all hands to the pump COYP
In my interview the boss said.
“ the concept of a job isn’t hard,
You do what I ask and I pay you money, it’s called a wage.
If it goes wrong it’s on me, if you do it a different way and it goes wrong it’s on you.”

Reminds me of a job interview I had back in the 90’s, the boss didn’t seem to want any references, when I queried this he said, no I don’t need them, if you’re no good I’ll get rid of you, which was fair enough I suppose……..Watford FC have a similar policy I believe 🤣

Most employers would know if you are the one if an interview was more sociable instead of 20 questions about your CV. And ask different questions with scenarios etc. in the field I’m in it would mean half my guys wouldn’t work for us but I didn’t interview them 💁

One man and his gloves puppet! What's the point of Mark Bright? Decent player, but what does he offer now?
I assume he is Parish's advisor. Just like every manager wants an assistant who is on their side that is Bright's job. He is also the link between Parish and the players especially the youngsters.

I don't have a problem with Bright.

I've got the sneaking suspicion that we will be next season's Wolves. Although expected, the announcement on the same day of the departure of both the manager and the captain poses a challenge for Parish. The squad is weak, some players want off, and the new stand seems high on his list of priorities.
He has had, at least, advance notice.

Our pundit/ commentator on the Palace website for the junior teams as well as Parish's game watching pal and maybe more. I dont see Sky rushing in for him.
As always with our club most things are kept behind closed doors.

If I were Parish today, I would not be signing any contract to commence work on the new stand as yet.

This is a really good article from The Times.
Hope the link works!

Spot on. Th only addition I would say is that I don’t blame Glasner for leaving but I do for the way he is going about it

Willo have a word hes trying to muscle in on your territory , bad form sir 🤣🤣

we seem to be hurtling toward relegation. So Parish in or Parish out will be a matter of the various opinions on here. Personally, i will abstain from voting.
