Parish Out

Because I support the team, not him
You wouldn’t have a team to support if it wasn’t for him, It’s the same bloke who was at the helm when we won our first major trophy a few short months ago, now just because the team have had a shocker and we’re having a bad run, you start slagging him off and wanting him out!! And you wonder why you got called a bellend 🤪

That’s just not true. We have Hoskins, Browett and Long to thank as well, parish was the reluctant buyer of the 4.

With our best-ever manager allowed to leave, I'd love to know if the board's lack of ambition let this happen. At what point does Steve Parish take any kind of responsibility? The buck stops with him, £2.5million a year salary. How to turn the greatest season into a disaster.

The sooner Parish fucks off the better.

Parish is happy taking one of the highest salaries in the league, for f***ing what? Glasner saved his arse by performing a miracle last season.

Blokes happy with finishing 17th every year. This season was our chance to kick on, but the c*** had f***ed it.

“He saved us etc etc etc”. f*** OFF

Egotistical c***.
2.5 years & a total of 9 posts, says it all really

More than £2.5million a year I believe!

Not bad considering he promised he’d never take a penny!

Totally agree..!!

But Parish seems Teflon on here to some..!!

Whatever we think of Parish is irrelevant in the big scheme of things.

But it appears that our Billionaire Board think he’s doing a good job.

You have to acknowledge his keeping Palace in the Prem this long although I think he’s flown by the seat of his pants at times.

Now I just see it as a failure on his part to build on the success we had last season.

He could turn things around again post Glasner, but I started to lose faith in him last summer when he was about to sell Guehi . Today’s events aren’t going to restore it.

Let’s see, but something tells me this could be the beginning of the end for him.

In reality what does that actually boil down to though. If he'd had bought 2 new players? Refused to sell Eze?

Parish has destroyed any opportunity of a legacy after the FA Cup win. Faced with a first season of proper European football, the summer transfer window was again gormless & not enough. Not surprised OG was hacked off about it. I mean it’s not like Parish has form for not backing his managers !!
Guehi was explainable, players run down contracts & don’t re-sign as loyalty rarely exists in football nowadays. The spending on Johnson & the rumoured spending on the young lad from Angers in this window smacks of after the horse has bolted. Those who can see no wrong in SP should consider what he actually does for his circa £2.5m annually from the club - yes he did save the club but that was the best part of 20 years ago & the game and our club are vastly different animals now. Palace has outgrown Parish & if we are not to become another one of the failed premiership clubs further down the pyramid we need owners with more clout. Sadly this is so sadly predictable & so Palace. In the 53 years l have followed our club, it has never invested properly after success.

Personally I hope we don’t win the FA Cup again if it means losing our Director of Football , Manager and Captain.
We need to go back to mediocrity where nobody wants our key personnel.

Before everyone jumps on Parish's back about OG leaving, his announcement is true to form. He had history for this.

Wolfsburg (2019 - 2021). - lead them to CL qualification in his second season.

Eintract Frankfurt (2021 - 2023) - won Europa League in 2022.

Crystal Palace (2024-2026) - won FA Cup in 2025.

He may have never wanted to stay beyond his contract when he first joined us. He seems to be manager who looks for new challenges every 3 years.

That being said, the poor investment in the summer didn't help though.

In the accounts where it states SP salary, following the bit where the numbers are, it goes on to say that the majority of those earnings relied on bonuses & the majority of those bonuses are reinvested back into the club.

I've never quite understood that. He supposedly earns £2m, pays £1m of that in tax and NIC and re-invests the remaining £1m back into the club. It doesn't ring true to me

FFS, calm down ladies
We are a 25K crowd, that puts us mid to top championship side in the long term.
Parish has had us overperforming for more than a decade, before that we were the ultimate yoyo club. Its been a miracle we've achieved what we have.
He had his mates in to save the club and now sups with the devil (the Americans) using a long spoon.
He has always made the right move at the right time.
Glasner has his own ambitions but for me, despite what he's done I'm fed up with the constant whinging.
Guehi, he's done great for us so I wish him every success.

PS: have no animosity for the yanks but I do wonder their motivation, is it investment or just a plaything, in any event its turned out for great us.

Textor did mention this about Steve - but how do you measure that ?

Parish to Dougie - “ remember under £15 mill ok no player over not Top 15 club “

Ollie to Parish “ why did Ian Holloway leave so soon after promotion “
Parish to Ollie “ cos I said don’t be too ambitious ok we need to recruit unknowns as I need the profits “

Sadly this summer window was the game changer , the opportunity, we got distracted - now we have a new challenge- Steve pick up the microphone talk to us , pick up the phone get your investors get spending - if your ambitions are for club growth
