The way I see it, Parish has been nothing if not loyal to Palace as a club. As chairman of a Premier League club I would want more than £2 million a year. He could get more than that if he concentrated on his old business before he bought the club. Managers come and go, players come and go he has stabilised the club and overseen our most successful period ever.
Now don’t get me wrong, I think he has been a dick with the transfer policy and its f***ing annoying that he moves at snails pace on everything but nobody can argue he doesn’t have Palace in his heart and its best interests in mind at all times.
We are ahead of schedule in the sense that nobody expected us to win the FA cup when Ollie took over. But the overall plan is surely in place still. Stablise. Slow increments, Stadium, climb a bit each season. Not glamorous but it would explain not spending beyond our means, not backing the manager over the plan and not capitalising on our FA cup win and pushing on.
As for Ollie going. How many people knew who he was before he came to us. I for one knew nothing about him. Right now there is another manager out there of similar station. I would rather that than a Frank or Moyes or Dych etc.
f***ing frustrating though.
