Parish Out

15 year old on a site made for the elderly? I’d still say I’m well below average but let’s not take the piss here
You must be 15 or less to be bed-wetting about our current situation.

We're still in Europe, within touching distance of the top 5 of the Premier League, in January, with a brand new stand on the way.

This result does not feel anywhere near as bad as 0-7 Vs Huddersfield, 0-9 Vs Liverpool, the 2-2 draw with Southampton that all but sent us down, losing to Grimsby at home on a Tuesday night etc ..

Today's result will be chip shop paper tomorrow and it should be left in the past now, along with "Tsamina mina..."

Sarr will be back soon and, 1-2 signings plus a fit Munoz, we will finish strong.

Up the Palace!

The sooner Parish fucks off the better.

Parish is happy taking one of the highest salaries in the league, for f***ing what? Glasner saved his arse by performing a miracle last season.

Blokes happy with finishing 17th every year. This season was our chance to kick on, but the c*** had f***ed it.

“He saved us etc etc etc”. f*** OFF

Egotistical c***.
Glasner*

It’s a new day a new dawn & I’m feeling let down

Looking for someone to blame

But I can’t point finger at 11 players at coaching squad, at manager. at chairman at board

Steve parish will hide away for a few months now

I keep getting reminded about past achievements like we won the FA Cup & future activities like a show & tell at Crystal palace for FA Cup win we should all go to

Who else is feeling let down, annoyed, embarrassed

Well we are not really within touching distance of the top six, we are dropping down the league with alarming speed.

We are in the minnows competition in Europe and our results have not been impressive, we should not have needed the play offs to still be in it.

Yes we won the cup and who was first on the pitch to be interviewed? Our chairman.

Yes we are in Europe but were demoted to the conference for a breach of ownership rules. Who sold shares to be in that position? Our Chairman.

We have suffered this season from selling our best players for huge sums and either not reinvesting or for every good signing we get two poor ones.

We also have the annoying habit of doing business in the last two hours of every window and ending up with well sometimes nothing.

Our squad is paper thing and we are being undone by injuries.

As for the new stand well, maybe one day but I fear it's escalating costs are being met by a lack of investment on the pitch.

I don't want Parish to necessarily go, but I want him there in the bad times. He should be there now saying this is what the board will do to back the manger or admit he is going and what they are going to do to replace him. To say to all those who travelled yesterday here is your money back, not to simply set more ridiculous rules around ticket sales and resales that stop people attending.

Time to step up Steve and earn that salary.

Well we’re certainly a generous club. Not content with just giving Macclesfield our gate receipts we decided to give them a free passage to the next round and another £££££ pay day by fielding a team who looked like they’d never seen one another before and never scored a goal between them.

Could you explain, why after any defeat it's always Parish's fault. He doesn't pick the team, tactics or even play on the pitch?

Multiple choice answers.

A. Intelligence
B. Size of c0ck
C. Height
D. Age
Just kidding with you mate. Parish is not everyone’s cup of tea and your entitled to your opinion.

If 4 points isn't in touching distance, I don't know what is.
But you're clearly a pessimist, which is ok 🙂

We stopped winning because we have lost key players to injury etc. We are in Europe for the first time. It has taken a toll. I suspect that we will see a turnaround in February, and we all look forward to that.

We can accuse Parish of being too careful with spending, but we don't have the big picture or the responsibility of looking after a football club.
Did we need more signings in the Summer? Yes. Did we make some poor signings? Probably.
Are some fans unrealistic about our status as a club? Certainly. Is just being in the Premier League a great achievement? Hell yes.

Anything else is a bonus.

I'm happy enough with mid table and a cup run every season or two with a sprinkle of European football every now and then. I think that's success for a club like us.

I'm not anti SP but he does help pick the manager and those in charge of recruitment so he has an impact on tactics and the players who are available to be picked.

I do wonder about recruitment and how organised and professional the process is.

Dougie got loads of praise for some of the champ players we have signed (MG, Olise, Eze and Wharton etc) however i also think these were pretty obvious choices and should have been on the radar of anyone with any decent English football knowledge.

Our overseas recruitment seems very scattergun and haphazard with perhaps only Andersen and Munoz being the only major successes (i'm sure there are a few more) and former had already played for Fulham so was well known. Lacroix was known to OG so wasn't really a recruitment selection.

When we bought Franca i did wonder the logic of spending so much on someone so young and he was perhaps 2 years from being ready.

Canvot seems to be similar. How can we judge after less than 20 games? A massive gamble - hopefully not a AWB type who essentially had one very good season for a limited team and has since been found out a bit.

Last summer Nketiah was always a strange choice. High wages, a large transfer fee and pretty much a 6 yard box striker who offers little elsewhere on the pitch. Not a natural fit for our formation and so it has proved.

In the summer we were heavily linked with Ousmane Diomande despite the quoted price and the AFCON. A strange MG replacement IMHO.

Upfront we bid a lot for Guessand, who eventually went to Villa (and has been average since) despite him also being missing for AFCON. We eventually got Uche at the last minute and only his lack of form prevented him going to AFCON. All strange options as a Sarr alternative.

When the summer window opened it was clear we needed some squad depth. The back 3 (or 5) essentially picked itself without any cover as did the front 3. We were heavily linked with Tanganga from Millwall who had a low Prem league release clause of less than £2m.
This was a no brainer IMHO. Low cost , moderate wages and a good championship defender.
Instead he has gone to Sheff Utd for over £7m and we spend 10 times as much on Canvot.

Upfront we only seemed to be linked with Afcon players. It would have been a backwards move but there would have been logic in maybe a cheeky £2m offer to get Ayew back from relegated Leicester.

We would know what we were getting - someone who is rarely injured and can play anywhere across the front 3. As a sub bring him on for the last 20 to slow things down and win a few fouls.

The mistakes in the summer have clearly come back to bite us, but let's face it, this was predicted 3 or 4 months ago.
