Palace vs Millwall

It has to be a sad life being a Millwall fan tbh. Everyone hates you and you always have to defend yourself in the most prickish way possible when people find out you are a Millwall fan. Now if you were born and raised as a Millwall fan ok, but I shudder to think of the ones who willingly chose to support them without any connections as it were.

With that being said, sure they will be amped up for this one, advancing will bring some much needed money to their account.

Take them serious from the first whistle though and I think we will be fine.

Ha. Like it. There’s a lot of reasons Millwall fans would give for disliking palace, but jealousy wouldn’t be one of them. If you ask the average Millwall fan palace would be the club they would like to be like the least, regardless of success on the pitch.

We’re chalk and cheese

Historically we struggle at home to Millwall, do much better at theirs. I did a Willo and checked and since 1970 we've played them 14 times at home and only won four - I should look again to get their wins and our record at the den. But apart from the famous 4-3 with wright, bright and sherringham I can barely remember a home win, there's the odd 1-0 and 2-1 several decades ago which have skipped my memory but relatively recently I remember a 0-1 under Burley, a 0-0 under Warnock (or Freedman) and a 1-3 (maybe Taylor was the boss). I don't think we'll outclass them like we did a couple of years back, they've got talented youngsters and Alex Neil has got them playing. I expect us to come through but given our form and track record I'd have felt more confident if we were at their place.

Been announced that the bbc will be showing this game live.

Club have announced tickets are now on sale @16.00hrs today
Just gone onto the website and it says sold out ???
But it states that ST holders can purchase their tickets up until Monday.
Nothing's simple with Palace ticketing.

Depends how many we get. I’m not a season ticket holder this year but hoping if we get enough they’ll get to members as well but might be a case of just asking around. Something usually comes up

First league game following third division promotion. Vince Hilaire's first goal. Such a pretty kit. The old den.

Great to see the old den and no monkey chants which we are always lead to believe happened at the den but not this time. And Millwall had the drum before us.

Have worked with a lot of millwall on site jobs.
once theyve dished out the standard bollo , always found them ok & got on well.
(However ...Charlton, always been idjits whenever had misfortune of any contact.)

This is a very difficult game coming up & some of the 'not so local' players need a brief lesson about
what to expect & whats required of them.
Should just win this but only if the players put in a shift.

Thanks for this Theorist. I really enjoyed watching. My dad was mad enough to take me to watch Palace at Millwall around then, and we won 3-0, but I have a feeling it was the following season (did we really win 3-0 there 2 seasons in a row ?).

Not watched our Bermo friends this session (life's too short...) but I have it in my kind that Alex Neil is an attacking sort of manager who wants to play football, mostly from his Norwich sidd. Is this the case so far at Wall or have they beaten that out of him and reduced him to their usual eye bleed provoking parked buses?
