They've served alcohol only an hour before kick off before to reduce the chance of drunken stupidity. then again if people are determined to get tanked up before going to the game you cant really stop them.

Just reminiscing.....I remember the last Palace vs Millwall game I went to. I was crutches at the game and up popped Ben Watson with a last minute equaliser to make it 1-1.

I think celebrating that goal set me back a few weeks recovery 😅

I also remember the away fans were sitting beside the holmesdale and there was coin throwing and anything and everything else being thrown at each other 😅

Did we not play them recently enough and Olise scored a couple. When was it? Two seasons ago - or am I just making it up? Away, I thought - didn't hear of much trouble

Ah yes that was an away game under vierias season. I also remember listening to the radio when Jason puncheon scored a hatrick against us for millwall. Could have been George burleys last game for us?

I remember going to the old den in the cup and Jim Cannon scored a last minute equaliser, not a pleasant experience getting away from the ground after. Thanks Jim 😀 might as well not have bothered because we lost the replay at selhurst

Also in the 80’s we beat them at the den which helped put another nail in their relegation coffin. Of course outside the ground after they wanted to shake our hands and wish us all the best for the rest of the season

There was a bit - some Millwall tried to get into the Palace stand at the end of the game, but got sent packing.

Even my Charlton fan says it’s very weird and can’t explain it.

To be fair we've had 5 minute rivalries with a few clubs over the years (Watford, Bristol City... sort of, even Southampton was a bit weird because of Ward Prowse)

I can't say I miss it. Particularly that desolate sort of alley that ran up to the stand which was like something out of a post apocalyptic sci-fi film and was scattered with broken bricks, lumps of metal and other tools of the trade of their scampish fan base. Has a ground ever had a more appropriate address than Cold Blow Lane?
On a happier note Esse isn't cup tied so hopefully has a point to prove.

The TV schedule hasn't yet been released as far as I'm aware. The game could be any day over that weekend if it's chosen for TV (and given the rivalry between the two clubs I would be surprised if it's not chosen).

The last round's TV schedule stretched from the Friday to the Tuesday; whether this next round will remains to be seen.
