Steve Parish will have to give Woody one final reminder before he writes the cheque that relegation is a thing and an underfunded club in the PL will be in the championship and worth a fraction of the purchase price so fast it will make your head spin

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has offered £190m to buy John Textor’s stake in Crystal Palace, reports The Guardian.
The offer is said to have the backing of Palace’s co-chair Steve Parish.
It is believed to be under consideration by Textor, who failed to buy out Parish and his fellow co-owners, Josh Harris and David Blitzer in April when a £550m bid was rebuffed.
Johnson's offer falls significantly short of Textor's valuation of about £240m for his 44.9 per cent stake but is based on that attempt.
Textor is said to be prepared to accept up to £50m less than his valuation after Harris and Blitzer turned down an opportunity to buy his stake at the discounted price."

I think Textor wants out, but his own valuation is significantly over what the markets think.
Textor might have his trousers pulled, if he's not careful. (to quote SJ)

I agree, if Woodys level of control is the same as JT, then there is no problem.
 
I’m not sure what is better for Palace. A rich US sports owner or a consortium of individuals and money men.

I’m sure Harris and Blitzer are very familiar with Johnson due to both interacting for many years in NFL circles.

We need squad investment and a new stand redevelopment to take it to the next level. I like the novelty of Jimmy Butler (went to school with my son) and co being apart of our future but it is money we need.

As already mentioned the New York Jets have been a failing franchise for many years so people like Woody will want to be associated with success especially in a US World Cup year!

It's a moot point anyways as the issue was the conflict of Forest and Olympiakos both being in the Champions League - which is now not possible. Their chairman has already dissolved the blind trust

Are chairman that have put their shares in a blind trust to demonstrate no control, allowed to storm on to the pitch at full time and tell the manager what he should have done differently.

Its all such a load of bull

You see, mentioning Stanstead, that let's you down, tho I get what you mean. Never flown for there, never likely to, no Ryanair, awful airline. Each to their own tho.
