Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

As many have said, I expect this is just a case of clarification vs the emergency summit that papers have reported on.

He doesn't have a controlling vote. Nor do we swap players around etc.

Also hard to predict and (like forrest) put the club in a blind trust pre deadline.

The sensible thing, would be to either ignore and let us get on with it. Or allow the blind trust route now.

Sensible thing and Football authorities do not usually go well together.
Clearly, however, every other club with closer ties than ours have been able to compete. My only guess on this is that the French authorities have a massive dislike of Textor - which seems easy enough. Someone seems to be making it harder for us than it has been for anyone else.
The Red Bull ones for instance - fine for them and they're totally controlled by the same group. Ours isn't even controlled. Lyon is.

All of this just makes me want Textor totally gone. Nowhere near us is where I want him. I'd say it's the same for the fans of the other clubs he's involved in. Mr John Textor please just f*** off. He may have given us money but it's ran it's course. Let's hope someone decent buys him out.

A consortium of Harry Enfield, Eddie Izzard and Neil Morrissey?

From what we know Palace should be fine as Textor's voting rights are 25% which, and I checked the maths, is less than the 30% UEFA standard

Another article saying the same thing

But interesting that Textor is also trying to sell. He says it's a nice thing to do to help Palace out but I wonder if he sees an opportunity to extract some concessions or a higher price by selling while this is going on.

My main view is that none of the owners are stupid people. Though Textor sometimes gives a good impression of one. But I don't think for a second that Parish, Harris or Blitzer would have set up an ownership structure that meant they couldn't play European football if Textor was involved.

The only doubt is that UEFA are a rule unto themselves and if they have another agenda they might think this is an excellent opportunity to exploit that.

Personally I think the ownership structure / voting rights was set up to protect the club from any individual making decisions that weren't seen as good for the long term future of CPFC (or that might hold more benefit for another organisation - Eagle Holdings) I doubt that European football participation was a major part of the thought process, purely only because it was quite a long way down the road before anyone could imagine it actually happening

So if UEFA decide Textor has the controlling interest in Palace, how can they then say we can’t go to Conference because of Blitzers shareholding in Brondy? They can’t both have a controlling interest in Palace

The thing it's not just 'control,' but also 'significant influence ' over more than one club in the same UEFA competition.

Can it really be said that Textor doesn't have a 'significant ' influence at Palace?

I can't verify this for sure , but the story is that Textor wanted to employ Glasner at his French club, but since Glasner does not speak French, Textor proposed his appointment at Palace as a replacement for Hodgson.
Appointment of a manager is pretty 'significant ' even if Parish made the final executive decision on Glasner.

It is clear that there are a number of clubs that have similar issues around their ownership structures.

What is less clear is the rationale employed by the authorities in reaching their decisions.

Therefore, at the moment I can't see how anybody can say with any degree of certainty how the decision will fall.

That's my position in a nutshell!

Not the same admittedly but we would have a very good chance of winning it
True, but it doesn't seem worth affecting our league form for. Whereas I'd accept winning the Europa League and staying up anyway we can. At a guess, I'd say Spurs fans are happy enough. Not so sure about Chelsea fans. They probably think they should be winning the league. Just a guess.

Sounds as though Textor is willing to sell at a discount too. Would hope the other owners take him up on that offer. Haven't particularly wanted him at the club since he tried to buy Everton.

just seen this:-

Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor would be willing to sell his shares to his fellow owners in a cut-price deal to allow the club to play in this season's Europa League, according to sources close to Eagle Football.

Uefa's rules forbid individuals from being involved with more than one club in the same competition to avoid conflicts of interest.

Eagle Football, the multi-club group owned by Textor, owns a majority stake in Ligue 1 side Lyon, who have also qualified for next season's competition.

The four Palace partners of Textor, Steve Parish, Josh Harris and David Blitzer were in Switzerland on Tuesday to discuss Palace's participation in the Europa League.
Textor was hoping to show Uefa officials he did not have a controlling interest in the club.

The meeting ended without a decision, but it is understood from sources with knowledge of the situation that a final ruling from European football's governing body should come in the next week or so.
