The problem being that CAS decided the rules had been correctly applied, whether fit for purpose or not. Which seems to me to be an abrogation of their purpose.
Whether, or not, there is a legal case for damages caused by a rule not being fit for it’s intended purpose is something for specialist lawyers but the football world, led by us and the consequences we have suffered, must now put pressure on all the football authorities to ensure things are cleaned up. The FA need to make a statement. So does the Minister for Sport and the new regulator.
