Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

There needs to be a mechanism for clubs to use, why shred something that UEFA have accepted?
Just my opinion, but the whole Blind Trust solution is just a convenient mechanism that allows UEFA to ‘ look the other way ‘ while Multi Club Owners continue to go about their business.

And note that UEFA themselves say this is only a temporary solution until they arrive at a permanent way of managing MCOs.

My proposal, which I think is a better way of mitigating MCO’s from surreptitiously continuing to have any control is to have the Blind Trusts administered by one UEFA nominated body.

The mechanism is easy. It ought not be allowed. If anyone has enough influence over two or more clubs then only one of them can play in a competition. Putting your shareholding in a cupboard doesn’t stop your influence. Shares need to be permanently sold to remove the influence. Or, as in Textor’s case at Palace, their voting rights restricted so they don’t have enough influence to matter.

I'm so over it now. I'm happy enough for the conference league.

So after the appeal what if they keep us in conference and kick out forest...do brighton get Europa? 🤣
There is a bigger principle at stake here than just Palace’s place in the Europa league. It’s fundamental justice for football clubs versus money.

If Palace win they will be reinstated. Forest will play in the Conference and Brighton on the beach looking at France.

If Lyon also lose they would be replaced by another French team.

Justice v money in football is a ship that has long sailed.

I think that’s his point that I agree with, we’re passed caring now and just want to get on with it, wrong or right, I just want to move on now, I certainly don’t care about Forest or Brighton

I must admit I don't see why it's Lyon or us in the Europa League; if we are not part of an MCO then both should be in. And if Lyon were finally accepted on 9th July as being compliant with UEFA rules, I don't see why Palace seem to be based at fault back on March 1st. We are defiantly compliant now so there should be no problem. In my view it is either us or Forest in the Europa League.

That's not the realpolitik, the current process is clearly far from ideal, but you play with the cards you're dealt and presently blind trusts are recognised by UEFA
