Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

To play devil's advocate, if one of them was already unable to progress and they had to play each other could he influence the lesser team in some way to lose? Not that I think this is at all likely, just a possible argument for UEFA.
Possible I suppose, but it is unlikely that Parish would roll over for Textor.

Jake O’Brien went to Moulenbeek, a Textor team and was arguably their best player. Textor bought him for OL at a knockdown price of €1million. After a stellar year with OL he was sold for £13million to Everton, a huge jump in value. I think the question is whether the deal was done on a commercial basis ie Palace getting 25% of the increase, which we usually ask for ex-academy players, or this was to help Textor out with his ongoing funding issues at the Club.
At the same time Luke Plange also went to Moulenbeek but failed to make an impression. Since then Malcolm Ebiowei and Tayo Adaramola have joined on loan. There is clearly a link so the no influence argument looks very shaky. I now suspect that only Textor selling his shares will satisfy UEFA. However, only Harris & Blitzer are in a position to purchase at the moment as no one else has come forward since Eagle Holdings offered to sell them when Textor wanted to buy Everton. H&B will want to get away with as little as possible but JT will want a price based on Palace in the EPL and in Europe. Parish is going to have to do some serious negotiation to reconcile the difference in the next few days.
The argument isn’t about “ no influence “, it’s about the degree of influence

I gambled on ordering a load of "Palace into Europe 2025" T-shirts.
This decision by UEFA may cost me my investment. On the other hand, they may have added novelty value. A bit like SJ's "Ground and club united" T-shirts 🙂

I.have just read a report that a decision will not be made until the end of the month. Even if that decision goes in our favour, it will put us on the back foot in the transfer market and I doubt we will do any business until this mess is sorted.

The Beeb are suggesting we may not find out until the end of the month!

I think this is promising. If we are being made to wait that long it might suggest uefa are open to reaching a compromise/solution for all parties involved. As opposed to outright rejecting us. Making us wait until the end of June only to deny us would quite frankly be evil.

I've screenshot this from Wikipedia, as 'proof' we once made it into Europe, just in case (something to show the grandkids) 🤣

Other teams have apparently been allowed to play under similar circumstances without the dodgy blind trust solution. UEFA has stipulated no involvement with the other club during the competition and no interclub transfers.
I’m optimistic they’ll let us in but with conditions. It would be a bonus if Textor was forced to sell his shares!

They're going to ask us to lean on Parliament to rejoin the EU aren't they?

Given that the apparent issue is Textors shares - which he has now offered to sell - it’s irrelevant who the purchaser is in UEFA’s eyes.

There’s no direct financial benefit to the club as it’s an individual selling his shares.
If he sold his Shares, he wouldn't be involved with Club, it is Smoke and Mirrors.

I had a look through the tangled web that is the various holding companies that follow on from CPFC2010 on the Companies House website, and looking in each case under the heading "Active Persons with Significant Control" , once you go through 'CPFC2010' you get to 'Palace Midco UK Limited' which leads on to 'Palace Holdco UK Limited' which shows this:-

PALACE HOLDCO UK LIMITED

Company number 09898364

Correspondence
Selhurst Park Stadium, Holmesdale Road, London, England, SE25 6PU

Mr John Charles Textor

Nationality
American

Countryof residence
United States

Nature of control
Ownership of shares – More than 25% but not more than 50% Ownership of voting rights - More than 25% but not more than 50%

So, according to Companies House he DOES have a significant control over the ultimate holding company.
