To be honest I too rather feel it should be the Europa League or nothing. Personally I'm not interested in the tinpot Conference which is just another unnecessary creation of EUFA.

Thank you Teddy, so the March 1st rule cannot be the reason, if, we are not allowed, and with Olympiacos in the Europa League, Forest are not allowed either.

Pretty sure Olympiakos won their league so will be in the champions League. The worry around the blind trust at Forest I believe came when they also looked on course to qualify for Champions League.

If we do get booted out for whatever silly excuse UEFA give..."integrity of the game" etc they will be either ironically or knowingly allowing two very dubious/corrupt owners into the competition.

The whole thing is making my blood boil.

For a club our size the priority is always, and has to be, to avoid relegation. By taking that pragmatic approach, Parish has built arguably our best squad in the club's history, which enabled us to win our only major trophy and to qualify for Europe. What a legacy. By contrast, Textor gave us some money and made a big profit on selling his shares. His legacy could be preventing us playing in Europe for the first time in our history.

I’m pretty sure that Textor doesn’t have sole responsibility for the contents of that inbox !

And as Textor also said, given the the way that Palace are governed he saw absolutely no reason to put his shares into a Blind Trust at that time.

There's something about Textor I definitely don't trust. Being involved in multiple clubs means you can't give your 100% to one club. Despite that he he wanted to be heavily involved in all the decision making at Palace. I think Parish knew that he wasn't the right fit for us. Despite what happens regarding our participation in Europe, we won the FA Cup which is amazing 😍

And look at how many clubs have been successful, then have dramatically failed: Leeds and Portsmouth to name just two. We’re competing against a cabal of vested interests.

Aside from personal opinions of Textor, I actually found the TalkSport interview a way of trying to publicly force UEFA's hand. He has sold his shares in Palace, has no interest in whether or not we get into the Europa League anymore but has gone on radio and categorically denied any "controlling influence" in Palace. In doing so, he has sh*t on Parish a bit but it's probably needs must in these situations.

I actually think it's a very smart move, applies more pressure onto UEFA to rule in our favour.
