Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

The media has reported that Lyon has won their appeal but I have not seen why?

Okay I know it's a stitch so the why doesn't really matter but it would be nice to know.

How did they conclude that a club that clearly broker the rules err didn't. It's not like they have reduced the punishment e.g. point deducted but not enough to relegate them. They have gone from guilty to innocent so why?

I believe it went something like this...

DNCG: "Ms Kang, we belive you wish for us to overturn your relegation to Ligue 2, why should we consider this, bearing in mind the massive debt Lyon have accrued, all the dodgy dealings and financial irregularities that have come to light in recent weeks?"

Kang: (pushes up breasts, accenuating her cleavage) "It wasn't me, it was that nasty, brash wannabe cowboy American, I promise we won't do it again. And anyway, the yank isn't in charge anymore"

DNCG: "Good enough for us, consider yourself reinstated to Ligue 1, and enjoy another European tour at the expense of those English pigs. More wine?"

If you ever needed a reminder that football is no longer for the fans, this is it. Corruption is rife in this sport. We have to wait for the decision now and not jump ahead but I am not feeling hopeful. There are clear cases of multi-club ownership (Olympiakos and Forest for example) but UEFA have found 'creative' ways to get round the rules. Meanwhile, Palace potentially get punished for not having the foresight to act back in March when we didn't even know we had qualified for Europe. It is also obvious that Textor never had a controlling interest in Palace. UEFA have conducted this whole process shambolically.

Textor just stated, “The notification email from UEFA was sent to the CPFC inbox in late February.” The man was set up to fail, which is something I have always maintained.

Assuming Textor's shares to Johnson are 'approved' by the FA, we are 100% no longer part of a multi club ownership. That should happen by the end of this month, still plenty of time for EUFA before the Europa league is drawn.

Interesting the direct attack on Parish that his ambition is to avoid relegation and if Textor took over he’d want to progress.

Well, we can say with certainty everyone would say they want to improve if taking something over, so that’s kind of meaningless.

But how many of us have been so frustrated with boom-bust. Bad start to the season, new Manager, new ideas, no transfer budget and sell best players, get Hodgson back in, get rid, change again, get that 40 points etc.

I can’t help but believe Textor on that part and it’s hugely frustrating. Hard to disagree as well if after the FA Cup win, Eze and Guehi don’t start our Prem Season after last year Olisse didn’t start our season after showing top 4/title challenging form.

I don’t think Parish is everything he’s cracked up to be.

So the contract stated he was buying 75% of the club but Parish persuaded him to buy à minority to get cleared more quickly and buy the remaining percentage later on.
Jordans thinking, you've just been Parished mate.
