Ollie must be the priority signing

OG couldn’t of made it clearer to Steve parish about keeping MG
So get ready for Roy Hodgson next season
Surely we’re not that broke cause I would have let him go for free next year As you can see from this window 40m buys average or unheard of players!!
So 35m is crap😡
We're not a loadsamoney club and probably never will be. It's why we couldn't afford our first choice Guehi replacement back at the beginning of the window when Sporting wanted too much for Diamonde.

£40m is a lot to a club like ours. It buys us a couple of promising players we can sell for a profit down the line if they work out.

Glasner was never going to stay beyond the end of his current contract. I imagine Parish may already be sounding out potential replacements and their possible availability should Glasner decide to walk early. As we saw with Hodgson, Parish had already got Glasner lined up in the Autumn of 2023.

I think - and I hope, that Glasner will honour his contract.

But this summer's events will probably be enough to make him think his future is elsewhere.

Let's hope he delivers another trophy this season - it may even prompt him to stay - we'll see....

When OG put his cards on the table yesterday regarding Guehi, he said it was too late for a replacement. First of all it didn’t seem he viewed Julio, as a replacement.
Worse though Guehi, is now the subject of a very late deal, completely against his stated wishes, and making the signing of a replacement acceptable to OG near impossible. If Olly gets an offer during this season all this could drive him to take it.

If anyone is stressing about Glasner walking imminently, I’ve look on Oddschecker and he is 33-1 to be the next manager to leave his post.

Put your bets on and you can soften the blow.

Have you ever seen a poor bookie?

It would be us all over if Glasner walked today.
That seems very unlikely as he is a principled man who honours commitments. I expect him to have been kept in the loop at all times. He may well be disappointed and believe that not only are the replacements not of equal quality but that one doesn’t exist.

We coped with losing Olise, changed the style to suit what we had, and looked better. We now lose both Eze and Guehi, which as Glasner has confirmed was always likely. The need to get things done early was hampered by other events and the market being difficult.

We’ll see how Glasner reacts. No doubt disappointed but realistic and ready to reorganise and get everything into shape. If he does decide to refuse to extend then he wants to ensure he doesn’t damage his reputation by having throwing wobblies on his CV.

All of that said I wouldn’t totally discount Marinakis trying to poach him and us ending up with Nuno!

I remember we had agreed Nuno and then he wanted to bring his entire staff too. Which had a high cost of ten mil plus. We got Glasner then I think. Nuno isn't a bad shout for next manager. I'd forgotten about that.

Were not a loadsamoney club, but the selling of Guehi was being talked about last summer. We all knew he was going. It was literally everywhere. We have had ample time to get a player in and then see the transition through and get it all done. Alas, we're here with less than an hour to go and we apparently only have 2 players when in fact we play with 3 at the back. Absolutely zero excuse for it and that im afraid is all on Parish. I can almost say with absolute certainty that Parish isn't sounding potential replacements.

I agree, things change drastically and quickly in football. If the new look squad kicks on and we were to win something (not beyond the realms of possibility) he'd be a fool not to reevaluate his options
