Marc Guehi

Tanganga (millwall) would be on our shopping list , if/when he goes apparently
My Millwall mates really rate him and say the club wont let him go well at least not until the summer.

Not sure we need him but other clubs are sniffing.

Interestingly my mates are not bothered about Esse going, not sure if that is fatalism or whether they really don't rate him.

Tanganga must have improved. I remember him playing against us in the 3-0 win at Selhurst in 2022. Seldom seen a player so out of his depth

Mourinho whilst manager of Tottenham viewed Tanganga as a multi-function defensive player but more as a full-back.He did play at right-back for the club.
The player had developed as a central defender in the Academy.

With regard to that 3-0 game, I agree that Tanganga's performance was disappointing and he was sent-off for 2 Yellows, the second of which was not long after the first.

If you ever want to guarantee you aren't getting a player, you bid for the captain when the only cover has an ACL injury and another has been recalled from their loan, on deadline day.

All the more bizarre when the Spurs' desperate need for a CB has been in place since Jan 1st.

Pure politics but f*** Levy for involving us in it.

Another embarrassing moment in a shambles of a season for that football club.

I’d let him go for £70M…

Murillo, Milenkovic, Huijsen, Zabarnyi, Lacroix…all cost less than 1/3 of that!!!

Never thought Guehi would go in this window (aware its not shut yet).

But unless we can get him to sign another contract we need to sell in the summer.

On a connected note you can imagine the difference a couple of places higher up the table might make.

Finish 12th and JMP and MG are unlikely to want to renew and will have to be sold. Finish top half and suddenly this project looks more attractive

If Spurs was a serious offer, and as others have posted not just a scam to placate their own fans, my guess is that it was Guehi who turned it down rather than the club.

Why would THE England centre half want to go there and not win anything. I would be really disappointed if he did go to them or Newcastle.

My guess is that Liverpool or Moan United will come in for him during the summer when their finances allow and he knows that so is holding on.

Or maybe he really loves being at Palace where he’s made his name and will stay… come on a man can dream.

Plus spurs have won the same amount of major trophies as us the last 17 years. They might still be in three cups this season but even most spurs fans will be thinking that means sod all where they’re concerned

£70m is a lot to turn down for a player who could wind his contract down.

Knowing Levy it's probably £20m upfront then a load of deferred payments etc which is very unappealing.
