That's 2 of us who saw a different game, then. Apart from the period before the offside goal we looked to have things mainly under control in the 2nd half and as the game wore on we became the team with more of a threat. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the regular starters who weren't subbed off lasted the pace today. I thought that overall it was a good game by two teams playing some decent football at times.

we also played the game at our pace, which is a sign of being a very good team.
I was, frankly, nervous and frustrated when, in the second half, we had a spell where we just dropped deep and allowed them to come at us. It was inviting a goal, I thought.
Well, they got their goal but thankfully it was disallowed and from then, we got more possession and showed that attack is the best form of defence.
I hate during those spells when our passing is poor and we seem to have no 'out ball'. Both in yesterday's game and against Burnley.

And in the closing minutes of the first half against Manchester United. The writing was on the wall and we were outplayed for the rest of the match. Painful to watch.
i agree we definitely looked the stronger team in the last 30 minutes, and had 3 or 4 chances to win it before the MG header.
However, it also looked like the offside goal knocked the wind out of Fulham. They started the 2nd half quite well and looked the better team up to that point.
Just as goals change games, disallowed goals sometimes have a similar impact.
Whilst popping my tin hat on I'd add Kamada to that too.
Nice interchanges between the 2 CMs were present in almost every one of our attacks. Often Wharton plays the more hollywood ball, but Kamada usually has a role
Yes I agree.
Elsewhere I pointed out that 2 of the passes inside the full back to the overlapping Mitchell were played by Kamada, whereas in my mind's eye I thought they had been played by Wharton.
Furthermore, there were more successful exchanges of passes between Wharton and Kamada than I recall in other games this season.
My only caveat would be that Fulham afforded them more space than perhaps other teams would by not deploying a defensive midfielder.
