You might wanna fact check that... 😉According to BBC he is not going on this one, still recovering. He's coming home.

I suspect the (already qualified) England will cope against Albania.Being reported he will not be fit to travel to Albania, so is returning back to the club . . .

Risking sounding a bit conspiratorial, if Man City said a player wasn't fit, would the FA have just taken their word for it? Whereas, our statement is challenged and put to proof through independent FA medical assessment.Makes you wonder why he was called up in the first place when clearly injured. Time could have better spent at Palace being treated ?
he was getting treatment in the England camp , he is part of the team going to world cup , so was there tobe accessed and make sure the injury is not bad , also having him around as a leaderMakes you wonder why he was called up in the first place when clearly injured. I’m not sure Palace will be happy if he hangs around until next summer with no return. When Chelsea got rid of him we provided Marc with a platform and training under Roy to develop his skills and become one of the best defenders in Europe and an England international. He has been offered a substantial increase in wages just to sign an extension to his contract with presumably a fair buyout clause just like Eze and Olise. Palace has already set aside a substantial sum for a replacement and some return would help the Club that helped him. If he has any sense he should sign an extension as, with Canvot and hopefully Riad eying his place, he is not indispensable. All the talk still flying about he will leave in January, going to Liverpool etc. but at the moment Liverpool wont be the Champoions league next season, and his signing bonus if he waits till the summer will be huge, so why sign in January for them. I still hope he will be the captain who lifts our next trophy.

I agree with you about club comes first, but 20-30 million for him in Jan or have one of the best defenders around until the end of season, club Captain, and win the Europa Conference with him. Which would we prefer.I’m not sure Palace will be happy if he hangs around until next summer with no return. My attitude is the Club comes first.

If only it were possible. To win the Conference we will have to win the next three matches then play a further seven getting through three knockout rounds to the final. We will also have to play at least one Carabao, one FA Cup and twenty six league matches with our small squad. In my opinion Guehi is not going to be the difference between achieving or not achieving a “brilliant”season. Selling a disaffected player for £40m and buying two talented young players is more likely to keep Glasner happy and get us up the table to a Europa or even Champions League place.I think it you are Marc, surely there cant be much appeal to joining Liverpool at the moment. Feel a bit messy.
Better off having a brilliant season with us, finishing top 4, winning the Conference and then having his pick of all the clubs in the summer.
i also think it's unlikely we will win the conference as the games will catch up with us - think we may struggle to be in the top 8, so that will be 2 more games we can do without. If only it were possible. I doubt we can get £40m for MG after the August bid - i would have thought £20m to £25m is more realistic now.
Also, whilst in hindsight and purely from a financial perspective maybe we should have accepted the c£65m from Newcastle last year we must remember we sold Andersen that window for decent money. If Fulham hadn't stepped in i could see a scenario where Andersen, who had 2 years left of his contract and would have been 30 by that time, leaving on a Bosman.
So yes we have 'lost' with MG but gained with Andersen.
Winning the FA Cup in that period is surely a reasonably makeweight!!

Marc (thinking for himself) would have to be Idiotic to make a decision in Jan, as much as Palace may like it.
