Marc Guéhi

I thought someone suggested this already, but since I can't find it, maybe it was just in a dream...

I wonder why they don't renew his contract and include a clause to cut him in on the transfer fees. Right now, if he leaves in January, Liverpool might only pay 20 million, and no signup bonus for Guéhi. If he's on a long-term contract, Liverpool would have to pay at least 50 million - that's enough cash to split between the club and the player so everybody's happy, no?

If I was offered a massive pay rise to train during the week and sit on a bench on matchdays, I'd rip the money from your hands.
Mind you, it's Liverpool, so he might need to pay for extra security for his house and car.

The latest story is that we've pitched £30 million plus Gomez on loan from Liverpool, but Liverpool don't want to loan Gomez.
I get the impression that Parish is determined to sell Guehi, whatever Glasner may think.
It looks that Palace are looking to sell and if agreement is reached with Liverpool, it becomes a question of whether Guehi wants to go (presumably he's on board for it to have got to that stage).
Gomez is a quick and tenacious defender, but he seems to have a lot of injury problems.

His injury record is quite a concern.

Liverpool can’t want Guehi, as much as they lead people to think. This is their golden opportunity for a quality England international at a bargain price , and they have messed about for weeks on end. If Guehi, sees his contract out he could be going anywhere, Liverpool, just one more in the queue.

Maybe they are so convinced they will get him on a free next year they are hardballing Parish. It makes sense. The reported Man City interest would potentially throw a spanner in the works but I’m not sure I believe it.

I wonder how much tension there actually is between Parish and Glasner?

Much reported but is this designed to deter the low ball?

If so, not working.
