I think the key with Pino is to try and avoid nearly every pass to him resulting in a 50/50 challenge which ends up with him losing the ball or conceding a foul.
Try and find him in space with the correct weight of pass so he can demonstrate his range of clever control and passes.
He keeps the team shape when defending and works hard, but we need to see more of the attacking skills which he demonstrated on occasions last night.
My assessment of Pino is that he has immensely quick feet with the technical ability to dribble, pass the ball and finish (as demonstrated at Anfield) effectively. He has a good reading of the game/foobtall intelligence (can pick a pass) and a dogged determination about him.
His weaknesses thus far have been his slightly diminutive stature, his overexuberance leading to fouls/cards, him generally looking somewhat unaccustomed to the English game and still not fully confident of his role.
All of his attributes are highly desirable and none of his weaknesses are fatal, they're almost expected.
I think we have a great player there, it's just a few psychological hurdles he has to overcome. Let's hope he does.
