I own 4 “homes”!

I live in one of them. The other 3 were derelict when I bought them and having spent a great deal of money on them to make them safe and comply with modern standards they are rented, via the local council, to those unable to provide financial guarantees to high street letting agents who would otherwise be in emergency accommodation. I get a smaller return than if I let on the open market but with less hassle and voids. This though is an important part of my pension income. The council, and therefore the community, get much needed accommodation.

Perhaps Angela Raynor is doing something similar?
I hope you didn't skimp on gas-fittings.

A young couple wanted to buy their first home however they were out bid by someone who wanted a 2nd home investment. Buy hey I hear you say that person is going to rent it out!

True but if that investor had not bought it the seller would have sold it to the couple buying their first home.
The properties I own are not suitable for first time buyers, being non standard construction mortgages are unavailable. They are built of mundic and this required stabilisation before they could be used. They will only ever appeal to cash buyers and, being small, they predominately will be landlords.

I see Angela Raynor is sooo concerned about the Housing crisis to demonstrate it she has just bought her 3rd home.

Seriously? Are these people idiots or what? Why do you need 3 homes. There are other ways to invest all that lovely tax payer money you get Angela.
Nice ice-cream just round the corner from her new place and a cracking pub.

Landlords have always had their place but I agree, the current dynamics hasn't been right for decades. Young people have been shafted by parties of all types in getting a start on the ladder and landlords just take advantage because they can.

Anyone surprised?

Following on from the Tories in just making stuff up. I think we should all take a moment to consider just how wonderful our governments have been, and are. When they buy themselves a new fourth house, accept VIP tickets to Taylor Swift and claim the maximum in unvouched expenses just because they can, it's because they've the county's best interests at heart. We just can't see the full picture because we are clearly stupid oafs.

I’m hoping Angela Rayner ends up having to resign as a cabinet minister, which would make mortgage payments a bit difficult at some point. Of course that won’t happen. It should.
