Still earning her ministers salary for next 3 years, without doing the work. A by election should be called, but our tyrant won't agree to that.
Wetherspoons coffee is £1.56 with free refills. I'm told it's pretty good too. It's Lavazza.Amazon taking over and the loss of small businesses paying tax is a big loss. And I roll my eyes when women say they love Starbucks. FFS.
Yup and offer most standard coffees. Seen olduns sit there for hours for that cost until they can’t walk for leaking 😀Wetherspoons coffee is £1.56 with free refills. I'm told it's pretty good too. It's Lavazza.
Probably don't sleep too well either between jangling with caffeine and peeing all night.Yup and offer most standard coffees. Seen olduns sit there for hours for that cost until they can’t walk for leaking 😀
The hypocrisy is expected but you couldn't make up the comedic irony of her ex roleResigned
I have a mate who is a lifelong Morecambe fan (the club as well as Eric, before anyone says) having been born and bred there. In this case, there always has been a buying consortium lined up. But the current owner halted the sale at the 13th hour as "a new bidder" with a higher bid emerged. I am told this second bidder was fictitious and the current owner's cunning plan to drive up the price. But the initial bidders are now suspicious and the current owner has gone to ground, hence the current impasse. This is why politicians should keep out of football.

Lisa Nandy: Crisis clubs like Sheffield Wednesday and Morecambe 'absolutely' can be saved
Football clubs in crisis like Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday can "absolutely" be saved from the brink of collapse, says Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy.www.bbc.co.uk
"Crisis clubs can absolutely be saved" says Lisa Nandy.
"In the case of Morecambe [the regulator] would definitely make a difference," Nandy told Radio 4's Today programme. "There are powers for the regulator to be able to force the owners to sell in circumstances where it would otherwise be lost.
Yes Lisa assuming that somebody wants to buy it? Clubs that are going bust it's not normally the price that is the problem but the debt. HMRC are normally the biggest debtor and quite rightly want their money back. So if the regulator forces a sale does that mean the taxpayer takes a haircut?
Nandy talking out of her now gigantic ass, the bigger it gets, the more nonsense she spouts. Supposedly she will go in next reshuffle.I have a mate who is a lifelong Morecambe fan (the club as well as Eric, before anyone says) having been born and bred there. Would regulators have much say in cases like this? Perhaps some sort of escrow arrangement earlier on in the process would have helped and a regulator could facilitate.
Essentially she is suggesting clubs in this situation be nationalised / forced sale.I have a mate who is a lifelong Morecambe fan (the club as well as Eric, before anyone says) having been born and bred there. I hope she gets pelters for this. She was just a greedy c***.
Now she’s an unemployed greedy c*** !
As Spike Milligan said - it's as hollow as the lodger in bed with the landlady saying the laundry's late.I hope she gets pelters for this.
1. As a landlord she should never have accepted the position in the first place and numpty 2T should never have appointed her. C'mon private landlord lecturing the rest of us on homelessness, it was always going to be a cock-up in waiting.
2. Her excuse was just disgusting and is straight out of the rule book for every greedy private landlord. "I had to evict my tenants because I was going to sell but then changed my mind and instead decided to jack up the rent".
I have family who have been kicked out multiple times with that old one. It's right up there with "I love multiculturalism, but unfortunately I have to live in a white middle class area because the mother in law is sick".
It says a lot about her judgement and 2T's.
You're so right Badger. This is a mind blowingly awful illustration of the dubious ethics of some of Starmer's MPs. The fact that Rushanara Ali was the minister for homelessness just compounds the moral ineptitude.I hope she gets pelters for this.

I think the Germans have a lot of sensible infrastructure in place over fan ownership of clubs as well. I suspect that is where many English clubs will gravitate to when the inevitable tv money bubble bursts.Essentially she is suggesting clubs in this situation be nationalised / forced sale.
Its a free market and clubs are just a business and can go bust like any other company. If there is a willing buyer it will get sorted out if not... as I mentioned before normally it is the debt that is the hold up. There are plenty of chancers ready to buy a club on the cheap but that means the people owed money taking a haircut.
As HMRC are normally one of the biggest creditors she is actually suggesting the taxpayer takes the hit, well why should we when players walk away with 100% of their salary.
The real issue is that the new regulator needs to bring in a stronger fit and proper ownership test to weed out the dodgy businessmen in the first place. They also need to toughen the financial regulations to ensure clubs don't fall into this mess. In Germany the club has an annual licence which can only be renewed if the club has paid any taxes owed and has an annual report according to German financial law. That forces clubs to spend wisely or they will lose their licence.
If they started taxing beggars, would that keep them off the streets?
Well when cash completely disappears and they’re using handheld payment machines HMRC probably will. They would get a personal allowance like every other UK citizen. So unless they were earning over £1k a month you’d have to think again Georgy boy.

Good to see your tin foil hat is on this early Rudi.
