Kamada will be an asset

He was awful today. Sending off due to a mixture of total frustration and inadequate technique (he can’t tackle). Good news he will be banned for 3 games. But what after that? Glasner has a lot of his own reputation invested in kamada success. Can he swallow his pride and accept he is not premier league capable at whatever that cost to CPFC. (Answer - he won’t be giving up on his import yet). So maybe OG. Is not quite as smart as we all thought. His hysterics on touchline today around elementary lining up of back 3/4 in preparation for executing goal kicks was bizarre. And playing the obviously overweight and unfitSchlupp for any minutes at all - clueless ?? Things will get quickly better when key 5/6 injured players return . But some worrying signs for me

I used to think Tomas Brolin and Edgar Davids were the worst players that played for Palace who came from Continental Leagues but Kamada has usurped them. Thank God for his sending off and three match ban,I hope he never plays for us again this season.

Also where is he supposed to play ? I have no idea where he would be able to make a meaningful contribution. He is always the wrong side of the player he is supposed to be marking and his passing is woefully inconsistent, must be a nightmare to play with

If we change manager I am pretty sure Kamada will be gone pronto in January. Either to somewhere like MLS or just ‘released by mutual consent’. I can’t see anyone other than OG wanting him and can’t see him wanting to stay if OG doesn’t.
Most folk round by me in lower holmesdale were excited when he got sent off so we get three games free of his s***.
Some even joined in with the cheerio chant with Fulham
I've never seen such a universally disliked player.
He's got some compromising photos of Glasner or something or he'd be nowhere near the first team

At games I sometimes select a player to watch, particularly if they are new to the club.
Today I chose Kamada.

In the first half today he took up a nominal position on the right of the front 3, but often still appeared in deeper positions.
He had minimal influence on the game in the first half as the game largely seemed to pass him by.
He was involved in one promising move, but that was scant overall contribution.

In the second half he moved to a central midfield role and became more involved.
He always makes himself available to receive a pass from teammates and tries to prompt moves with short sharp passes.
He's what I would describe as a busy player, but in reality he does not affect a game positively.
His passes are often intercepted and he's frequently caught on the wrong side of opponents.
He deserved to be sent off for his high tackle so with the international break and the 3 game suspension it will be a while before he has the opportunity to prove people wrong.

From what I've seen to date he may just be one of those overseas players who are not cut out for Premier League football .

Glasner has indicated that he sees Kamada's strength as winning the ball high up the field and creating/scoring from advanced positions.
We've seen little evidence of this other than his goal v Villa.

If OG is determined to play him is it worth playing him further up off Mateta? He's not doing it in midfield and at least if he loses the ball up there it shouldn't hurt us quite as much.
Damage limitation for the highest paid player at the club is an odd way to go but he's both a passenger and a liability at the moment.

Agree. I’m in block A. When he made the tackle , loads in the lower tier were shouting ‘off off off’ and cheered when the red card came out.
I’ve never seen so few fans clapping one of ours as they are walking off after a red card. We won’t be seeing him for 6 weeks now, hopefully we have our main players back in form by then and he will struggle to make the bench.

I think he clearly is very talented, it's just about him finding his feet and place within the team. Hopefully, this adjustment will happen sooner than later and we will reap the benefits of it. I was delighted he got a goal and assist last night, that should go some way to help.

Also, it's a very disappointing start to the season; losing two games we looked the better side in. Emotions will run high, blame will be attributed and pessimism will run rampant. This shouldn't translate into a terminal judgement of a player though.
Then 😆😆😆

Im thinking worst player ive seen in a palace shirt. No tackling, lose ball and then sent off. How the hell is he on those wages?
Ive never read comments on here about looking forward to a ban … but i agree also.
Better to have an academy lad.
Get rid pronto

In many ways I feel sorry for Kamada. It’s not like he has a bad attitude, is lazy or unprofessional. If anything the sending off yesterday came from trying too hard to make an impact. He is just so far off the pace it is almost comical. He’s always late to the ball, to the player, with his pass and has the worst positional play of almost any player I’ve seen.

It’s painful to watch someone trying so hard who is clearly just not up to it. His confidence must be non existent.

The best thing is him getting a three match ban. Gives him time away form a failing situation which must be good for him. I expect he will be out the door in January as I expect we will have a different manager by then.

Can't remember if this was posted before. It's a scouting report on Kamada which makes frustrating reading.
Unless this scout got it completely wrong this write up would make most clubs want him, particularly on a free. Too good to be true? So far anyway.
Whatever has gone wrong for him so far it must be serious to have affected him so badly.
