Anyhow picture the middle east without Israel. 1979 would still have happened. Iran would still be a basket case. There would be prickly schism nonsense with the Sunni world. But there would now be normal relations with Europe and a free flow of oil our way for a good price.
And I am not advocating an end to Israel. Just a what if scenario to determine where the problem lies.

I would agree that the State of Israel was a terrible idea, but it was born from a terrible set of circumstances.
Since Israel is a reality, an ally of the West, and in conflict with a sworn enemy, picking sides is a no brainer.

In fact many on the right in the USA are drifting into far right territory like Tucker Carlson, Dan Bilzerian and Candace Owens. Lots of the "America First" numpties.

Since I read Animal Farm at school I have believed the only difference between the two is whether they choose to persecute internally or externally. Hitler largely went external, Stalin was more comfortable killing millions closer to home.

I think the context you refer to is different. Conservatives (small c) believe in merit and personal character, while leftists believe in identity politics eg DEI, Pride Month etc.
The Marxist ideology of oppressors v oppressed sees every event through the lense of: 1. Race;. 2. Class; 3. Power.
1. Whites v brown or brown v 'lesser brown" (silvertop); 2. Poor/lower class Palestinian people v rich Jews who also control the banks; 3. Israel's powerful rockets v Hamas and Iran's tiny ones/the "proportionality" nonsense or Israel aggressors v Iran "peaceful" (Chris123 + silvertop).
It's why they are unable to tackle facts and instead focus their ire on the West and capitalism. Israel is a shining beacon of capitalism and a great success story in the region. I think Jewish people would be wondering why you are more critical of Israeli government policies than you are of Gazan government policies (or even Iranian government policies), according to your posts. Throughout this conflict, you have rarely, if ever, given Israel the benefit of doubt or taken any of its actions in good faith.
The Israeli government has many flaws but its policies are FAR better than the other two on every available metric. We can go through them one by one if you like. I don't think you have bad intentions, just are incredibly naive.
PS From memory, I'm pretty sure you were critical of the previous Israeli government and the one before also.
So presumably if current Israeli policy is to deny and degrade Iran to ever having the ability to have nuclear weapons , he disagrees with that and would be OK for Iran to have nuclear weapons.

I suspect you will get some word salad about " it's not for Isreal or the USA to decide " which translates as it's ok for them to have nuclear bombs they can use on Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan etc etc.
If you get a NO, it's not ok then he is agreeing with Israel's current policy.

Iran can easily get a nuclear weapon without making one.....there are many thousands of them.
They can be bought.
Cold wars are stupidity and this is just one of the reasons why.
What is dangerous would be the launch system.....as you see with North Korea, having nuclear weapons is one thing but having the ability to accuracy put it where you want is a whole different thing.
If I were Israel I would have very strict border control....oh wait they do.....strange how we don't isn't it.

The 'far right' of which you speak here (though I wouldn't put Carlson and Owens in the same bracket as Blizerian), this 'far right' hold many of the same opinions you have outside of this topic.
Even on this topic they are similar to you, insomuch if their personal country was attacked they would probably be as fire and brimstone as yourself.
They have a 'first' loyalty to an ethnicity same as you do, it's just a different one.
I understand why right wing British Jews would support Israel, though I'd also say that what old Netty is doing is very much open to criticism even from a Zionist perspective......being that it's an 'all eggs in one basket' approach. Rather intelligently he's taken the opportunity to attack them one by one and the Arabs rather stupidly just let it happen (except the houthis).

Will he succeed or not.....it's open to criticism and also support depending upon opinion. There are many consequences flowing from this that few of us can realistically be sure about.....the splitting of the US right on the topic seems a real threat.
