Update: just seen CNN reporting B2 bombers engaged

Best way forward to avoid more death and destruction is total cessation of Iranian attacks, ousting of regime and allowing Iranian people to decide their own future, easier said than done.

This would significantly stabilise the region, Iranian proxies cut off from arms and finance, threat to neighbouring countries removed, win win unless you are part of the murderous regime.

The big overnight strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, could only have been completed by the USA and their hardware.
I think the general idea is to leave it to Israel to do the rest (militarily). Although Iran has a significantly larger army.
Probably regime change in Iran will happen, in the medium term. What the situation will be like then won't really be of any concern, because they won't have any military capability left.
What will be inevitable , is the new Iranian regime will do a deal with Trump over oil/aid.
