What on earth are you talking about?

I was merely responding to the idea that the people of Gaza could be consulted. When Trump has demanded a response in 4 days and the people are too busy surviving to think of anything else. The Hamas leadership in Qatar will be the only ones involved right now. If you could first have a ceasefire, aid and shelter, withdrawal of the IDF and a UN peace keeping force introduced to maintain order then perhaps real consultations could happen.

Of course I point the finger, but not at Israel. I point it at the Netanyahu government and the self serving idiot in the White House who keeps coming up with “plans” designed to get him the Peace Prize which then just get ignored by Netanyahu who has no interest in anything but the complete acquisition of Gaza and the West Bank.
 
Not often I agree with Wisbech. His post echoes my thoughts to a large extent. Netanyahu is leading a minority Government, compiled, partly, of extreme right-wing parties. His decisions are made with that in mind.
Also regarding AID, get rid of the GHF which has killed in excess of 500 people seeking aid.
Neither Hamas or Israel can be trusted to look after Palestinians. a UN peacekeeping force would be a sensible tactic. But it won't be used because the USA is running things.
 
Hamas have been given an opportunity to end the war - they will choose to carry on the war. Similarly, they could have released the hostages long ago - they choose not to. Just as predictably, the likes of the Sage, continue to side with the terrorists and try to blame Israel and Trump for not wanting peace.

It's interesting that people have a problem with 'extreme' right but never 'extreme' left. The likes of Jeremy Corbyn is the classic far left example, while other UK politicians would quite happy to see a one state solution – that in the politest terms doesn't involve Israel!

Only those on the extreme left don't have a problem with the extreme left. It is just that they have negligible impact on anything.

In this respect, I am talking the actual extreme left. Not climate change protesters or those upset by Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing. They are indeterminate. I mean Antifa or deep red, old school union types etc.

Yeah, they are excitable, loud and irritating. But in this country anyway, they don't even have an impact on the current government that is supposed to represent them.

Nationalism and the populist hard right, on the other hand, is very much on the rise. They get comment because they get traction.
