Israel v Hamas

1. Fighters just disarm, just like demobbed soldiers. The leaders can go to Iran or any of the states who have Palestinian populations.
2. The PA under scrutiny from responsible Arab states. I'm sure the UN know, they bang a drum like student politicians on this.

As I said all along, Hamas need disarming and removing, and the people need responsible Arab rule with strength.

It's a good opportunity for Greta and her selfie flotilla to dock and move in with their rainbow flags so they can teach the Palestinians all about diversity
For me, all the fighters need to be kicked out, not just the leaders

I tend to agree. It's not like de-mobbing. Hamas are driven by an ideological agenda. The difficulty comes in identifying Hamas fighters. I think offering them opportunities in neighbouring states might get rid of a fair few of them. Israel could give them $1000 each and a brand new mobile phone. 🙂

Those fighters will heavily consist of young men and BOYS, who have joined the factions from either family lines or are orphaned or need to provide. What you are suggesting is what Stalin did with the 6th Army, Gulag them and none come home. Nope, won't work. They need something better in their lives and be denied the opportunity to rearm themselves. That's where the Arab policing comes in and it should be intense.

Will be interesting to see just how willing the Gazans are to take this opportunity to throw off this supposed enforced volatile government because once it's gone if they revert back to their ways then we will know that it's what they want.

They deserve nothing as far as I am concerned

Just how do you think anyone in Gaza, other than the Hamas leadership, are going to be able to be consulted, let alone “take an opportunity”, in the current circumstances?

Have a ceasefire, get the aid in, provide shelter, restore medical facilities and schooling and give undertakings on rebuilding, support and future governance and then you can consult and maybe even hold elections to get Hamas out of the picture.

There are literally hundreds of thousands already abroad, in various guises, who can be consulted.

The gaza plan may differ from the one the arab states agreed to.

You would have to be in an advanced state of mental incapacity to believe the US or Israel.

😎

Looks like Hamas are set to reject the peace proposals, so Israel will be finishing the job.

So, this flotilla thingy...what do Israel do? a) intercept it before it enters territorial waters? b) intercept it in territorial waters? c) let it dock in Gaza, confiscate the boats and arrest the occupants? d) let it dock in Gaza, confiscate the boats and let the occupants live in Gaza until the war is over? e) enter into a 'one in, one out' agreement with the EU?

Greta "Oh look all the Palestinian people on the shore are waving and welcoming us."

Captain "I think not, they appear to be shaking their fists and shouting they have enough problems without bloody Greta and her rainbow pride boat".

What sort of reception might she have received if she'd sailed up the Lagan in 1971 on whatever mission she's on at the moment.

So again it hinges entirely on Hamas, yet you've consistently pointed the finger at Israel

Cool. Steeley isn't up for it. Launch the jets.

There are a few countries that will just impound and arrest a private yacht in the med, war or not.

They won't be sailing in Algerian or Libyan waters for a start.

Direct her through Suez and tell her Yemen needs food as there's a real famine there. She won't get far around the Gulf of Aden without getting boarded by friendly Muslims with AK47s
