That’s odd? Most of Falmouth is pretty decent, especially near the sea. Some small old cottages for sure but quaint and well maintained. You must have taken a strange route. If it was Penryn I could understand better. Plenty of student houses there, big old terraces with multiple occupancy.

Used the Town Quarry car park and turned left, presumably this is the “student quarter” some pretty poor looking flats.
