So what War did the UK lose ? was it a culture-war ? or an economic war ? or other ? the financial markets perhaps ?

WW2 knocked the Empire out of the UK. And the Cold War seemed to have destroyed our confidence. So what made the formerly-proud UK vulnerable to falling for Rape gangs ? Muslim Rape gangs could certainly have never happened in Renaissance Italy. That is for certain.

If I didn't I wouldn't ask. When 9/10 sources quoted are dismissed as far right it would help to know the acceptable alternatives.

You didn’t ask for acceptable ones. Even if I might only accept non commercial ones others routinely reference those owned by media barons with political agendas. So they are acceptable to some. You asked for non commercial ones. Which ought to be very obvious.

Before; you praised them for stopping certain posts and now they are full on free speech. You will have no one talking quote and btw what’s your take on reports Biden tried to limit right wing news or ‘facts’ as they are known as.

Actually I did ask for acceptable sources at 10.47 yesterday. As I've asked several times before and am still waiting.
Of course it's easier and quite convenient to simply dismiss things because of their origin rather than discuss their content.

You did, but the conversation had moved on to non commercial ones. Which are the ones that are generally acceptable to me. I don’t dismiss things because of their origin. I distrust things because of their origin, based on experience.

We all learn to trust, or distrust. We haven’t either the time or resources to fully investigate everything ourselves.

If Meta apply the same here then that’s them gone until they reverse it. It’s purely a reaction to Trump and hopefully will remain only in the USA.

I, and many others, have stopped using X. It no longer has a spread of ideas and fair criticism of the most ridiculous. It’s now a right wing free for all of misinformation and lies.

From what I read about what Zuckerberg said it was yet another act of homage to Trump. He is trying to protect his own skin. Shameful. Biden did nothing of the sort suggested. During Covid the administration worked with all the social media companies to try to advise them when false information was being circulated. When in the middle of a pandemic that was in the public interest and would be done by every administration.

You can expect a much greater level of intervention from the next one than this. Just by allowing Musk to post his lies is intervening in the supply of truth.

The “moving on” involved describing why non commercial sources were more acceptable.

If you expect me to compile a list of non commercial sources you will be disappointed. You can do that yourself.

You've consistently dismissed links to The Mail, Telegraph and Spiked. So which sources are acceptable to you?
