Fulham v Crystal Palace match thread

A fantastic performance from the boys, Hughes MotM for me though Richards was excellent also. Eze has gotten some stick from some but thought he was flashy in the right places also. Just all in all a good job by Palace. As far as people still giving Kamada stick when dude barely played, just irritating. You would swear he is the worst Asian player to ever play in the Prem haha smh.

Regardless, great 3 points and hopefully Tuesday against Villa we can start revamping our form at home.

What is the point of Kamada. I've tried to see a player in there somewhere trying to get out, but he is absolutely useless in all departments.

Please put him out of his misery Ollie and send him out on loan to, maybe Tranmere Rovers, where he can find other players at his level.

As for the game, we were brilliant today. Even Tony Cascarino thought ours was the perfect away performance. Hughes terrific again. Another excuse for an extra snifter tonight. If we keep this up I'll be registering with Alcoholics Anonymous.
You don't go from being a star in the Bundesliga with Frankfurt, to performing well at Lazio and the Japanese national team, to all of a sudden being league two standard at best. Dude is a very good player. However yes it is becoming evident he does not totally fit into what OG wants to do in regards to the other players we have. Though yes I realize he has worked under him before.

Send him out on loan in the Summer by all means but I think if we do he will show his talent elsewhere and we will regret it. Jmo.

Kamada is our modern day equivalent of Mutch. I'm sorry but he brings absolutely nothing, and OG giving him ANOTHER chance feels like cruelty. I really don't think he wants to be here. Move him on please.
What has Jordan Mutch done to deserve a mention? He should be happy selling second hand cars or insurance rather than being slandered as being as s*** as Kamada.
He is actually our modern day Max Meyer, both free transfers on huge wages that piss off the better players and both of who were not very good in the premier league

Like this you mean....

"In the first 30 minutes we arrived with the ball in certain areas well but the moments to create clear chances weren't there. After that some decisions went against us and there was nerves in the stadium. We gave many things to them that you can't do at this level. I thought it was a foul for the orner before their forst goal and moments like that can be decisive.

"The second half was really strange. The moment we made the changes, they scored a goal in transition. That was our fault clearly, we have to be more aggressive and kill it, with the rules of course. After that everything was more difficult for us.

"The physicality is for both sides. The Premier League is a physical game. I never saw, this season or last season, Craven Cottage complaining as much today about decisions. We like to be a physical side but today we were unlucky with the referee. It is not the first time this season. They can have bad afternoons and it was clear today was a bad afternoon for the referee."

"The ref..."

Rob Jones is the best ref in the league. I thought he got 2 decisions wrong today in the entire game, which he let flow. The first was ESR getting brought down but it really looked like he had dropped to his knees in an effort to win a free kick and maybe get a player booked. The other was not booking Robinson when we broke out, but in slow mo it was an excellent decision because Robinson went for the ball. Silva wen potty when Raul deliberately backed into Le Croix and we ended up losing the ball - the same offence that Lerma was booked for against LiVARpool, except Raul did it on purpose.

No, they were frustrated because we battled better than them, then they blamed the ref who wasn't buying any of their whining. It was a deserved win and Silva can f*** off.

A very good, controlled performance and a thoroughly deserved win.

Perhaps further evidence too about why we get better results away from home.

Our second goal today was another breakaway goal following on from other breakaway goals in recent away games.
We rarely get these type of opportunities at home as the opposition sit deeper and shut down the spaces.

The Villa home game will present a different set of challenges as Watkins, Rogers, Ramsey and Rushford are all strong runners and will seek to exploit the gaps that we leave.

Rashford I mean

Magnificent team performance. Eze approaching best. lecroix Hughes mateta Saar guehi and Richards all excellent. Munoz immense. What a goal. And JPM trickery making it. Traore got nothing from Mitchell. Wharton like a purring rolls Royce ready to accelerate off when he finally came on Great days. Villa will be close. Of course. Cup progress and local pride against millwall surely…….one question. What is it with the andy Johnson’s magic song every game.? Why sing about past heroes ( and arguably not our best even) when there is so much to celebrate about this OG team and its leading lights.

Sure thing. Nowt wrong with having opinions on players at all. I can certainly understand, for example, all the discussion about Mitchell last week as his performance was a key factor in the match. Just feels a bit odd to me to want to talk about a sub when we’ve just seen, arguably, our performance of the season. Each to their own though
We’re Palace fans… we could have Harland up front, Olise back on the wing, Guehi on a ten year contract and beat Arsenal at Selhurst 10 - 0 and we would still find a fault somewhere 🤣🤣

Heroes is the key. It’s about palace.
Were you there ?

Not so much for AJ highlights. But before him Gerry queen, don rogers, Dave swindlehurst, peter taylor, Dougie F , glen murray , ian wright, mark bright…wilf,,…none of whom get a mention. I just think the AJ song thing is a bit of an anomaly

Marco Silva is such a tosser. Won’t ever forget his part and his players in getting Mitchell sent off a few seasons back. We were excellent today, totally dominant in all aspects and for him to blame the defeat on the ref is pathetic. He should be asked to explain his comments. A really unpleasant individual.

Having just got home from the game I’m sitting here reflecting on what great performance that was against an in form Foolham. Controlled it from beginning to end and could’ve had more goals. Obviously the var and a point blank save from their keeper.

Unbelievable the difference home and away 😳

Closest I’ve ever been to the HF I think, they were playing up with the stewards and police early on down the front, but fair play to them, they made it a decent little atmosphere

Shame about the cricket. Our ODI bowling is so poor (Rashid aside).

Cracking win today. Given Fulham’s form and how in control we were I think that might be our best of the season
Fairly sick of the regular negativity towards Kamada. We get it, some of you think he’s s***, there’s no need to Labour the point over and over again. It’s fairly clear OG doesn’t think he’s s*** and I’d hazard a guess he knows more about football than anyone on this forum. It actually takes away some of the pleasure of reading about another really great team performance.

How can a thread about a game in which we put in another excellent away display and played well as a team turn into yet again people having a go at a player who came on as a sub in the 75th minute when the game was largely won?

Let’s focus on the players who played so well, the fact Eze looked back somewhere close to his best and why we are so good away from Selhurst
Spot on. All this Kamada slating is getting really dull. Loads of players over the years got off to a slow or poor start. Accept the fact he is here, probably till end of next season and get behind him

He really is dreadful. Pointless bringing him on last week when we’re chasing a game, even worse when we are defending a lead. Does absolutely nothing and another 2/10 performance from the bench. Other than that an excellent performance and another 3 points.
