Just like anything these days, there are acceptable left wing flags and unacceptable right wing flags. They could even be the same flag it's got that absurd. Watch for the left wing George Flag with a heart in the middle. I'll give it about a week.

True. We now have politicians pulling down the Union Jack. Down off of every lamp-post. And a day later ? the same politicians are standing at the Cenotaph. Paying their respects to the Union Jack.

Politics has turned into a Monty Python.

If some people associate the Flag of St George or the Union Jack with right wing extremism then it is the fault of the left.

Our flags should represent our country, we do not all think the same so I do not expect that a person on the left holds values about this country that are the same as mine, and that is fine.

The left however abandoned our flags to the so called extreme right and now demonise it. What they should have done is waved those same flags at their rallies and demos with pride and told the rest of us what those core value are for them.

After all they love the EU flag and that is made of of some historically god awful countries.

You are a very sad man. You pine about problems that people had a century ago, and pine for the violence and poverty of a generation ago. And why? So you can all be in one Ireland and YOU can be the oppressor in the minority. (PS, that's what Apartheid actually is). You'd actually turn the clock back to fighting over it, to ruin the place from where it's recovered - you are no different to anyone in the Al-Quassam brigades - it's vile.
