FA cup predictions

I feel like as fans if we turn up looking for a banging day out and to have lots of fun, instead of standing around biting our nails, that'll translate to the team.

So for me I'm going along trying to feel as relaxed as possible, high on a couple of non-alcoholic beers and full of pointless songs no one else is going to join in with...ohhhhhhh Andy Johnson's magic he has a magic hat...
Maybe 20 minutes on your Kazoo?

Man C are unbeaten in their last 10 games (All competitions), Haaland is back in the side. They have a strong squad with quality in their ranks and have the 'Big Game' experience.
I am firmly of the opinion that we will be very much second-best on the day, possibly decisively beaten.
When asked for a prediction today I burbled 4-1.
They have had a good run. I think we had similar when we faced teams of this calibre

March 8th - they lost 1-0 to Forest
1. Drew Brighton 2-2
2. Beat Bournemouth 1-2
3. Beat Leicester 2-0
4. Draw Man U 0-0
5. Beat us 5-2
6. Beat Everton 2-0
7. Beat Villa 2-1
8. Beat Forest in the Cup - 2-0 - Forest poor first half and hit the woodwork 3 times in the second half
9. Beat Wolves 1-0 (admittedly ending a great run by Wolves)
10. Drew 0-0 with Southamption

My point is that I was a lot more confident before I read this thread

But their stand out performance in this run is their victory against us. I think we can do a whole lot better this time. Glasner had an off day after City responded to our amazing start. The tactical fault won't happen again. (please do not let it happen again!!!)

Saw this aspect thanks to a comment by a City fan on some other site about Haaland. Pointed out they had done better without him because the teams they'd faced.

1-0 to Palace at HT
1-1 not long after and City come at us strong
2-1 Palace after a penalty followed by a red card for city
2-1 on 90 minutes with City going at us, but a counter attack from Palace puts us 3-1 up.
95 minutes corner to City and the goalie comes up for it, but we win the header. A long hoof up field from Hughes soars over the pitch and drops into the empty net. 4-1 win.
Get that in a bet-builder and you'd never have to work again!

2-2 after 90 minutes. 4-2 to Palace after extra time.

Good morning Eagles. The day is here. I’ve not felt like this for as long as I can remember. It was like being a kid at Christmas, trying to sleep but watching the clock, counting until it was morning.

I still feel sick with nerves. This is ridiculous… not supposed to feel like this as an adult. All I’ve ever wanted (outside of health and family of course) was for us to lift real silverware. The FA cup being the holy grail. If we win this I promise I won’t be greedy and complain if we never win a cup again (though it would be lovely of course).

Was watching the build up on the news this morning. Eze was saying how excited he was. Then they cut to Harrland. He said they win and only qualify for champions league then this has been a terrible season and a failure… c**t!

The fa cup means nothing to them and I hope we never ever feel like that.

got up, feeling good.

It's still 0-0, with everything to play for.
Hoping those Palace fans speculatively travelling to the smoke, find a ticket and aren't ripped off. Play hard-ball with the touts. There are plenty of spare Citeh tickets, if you're prepared to behave accordingly.
Hope the weather is great and the result is fair.
I want Palace to win the cup by brilliance and endeavour, not by a dodgy decision.

Everyone have a great day

Believe.

2-2 after 90 minutes. 4-2 to Palace after extra time.

I feel that for us to win we need it to happen in the original playing time, my concern would be that once we get involved in extra time & penalties with their big game experience & the number of gazillion pound players they can bring off the bench to replace tired legs & minds, the pendulum swings back towards Citeh -

Just my thoughts, but hell what do I know.

It will of course be very special for the club and supporters if we lift the coveted trophy and I have prayed to the good Lord for a victory.
I will be on my knees giving thanks if he answers my prayers.

More bold talk from Glasner after an earlier City fixture.

I assume our approach will be similar if City continue with one holding midfield player, with us trying to catch them in transition.

Their whole game is about dominating possession, pulling the opposition out of position and getting late runners in the box ( unless Haaland plays when they go more direct).

Should be fascinating to see which approach prevails, although I'll probably be too keyed up to analyse this during the game itself.

A bit of fergie psychology. 😀

Didn't notice last night but the wins for Chelsea and Villa last night pushed Man City down to 6th place and out of the Champions League spots

Meanwhile Guardiola is complaining about having to play Bournemouth on Tuesday

If their minds are distracted even by 1% by their league position we'll take that. After all they are pretty clear the FA Cup would merely be a consolation prize for their 'terrible' season.

I absolutely ignore our league game at the Etihad. Totally different mindset for the cup Final.

But OG will have learned.

I also think that City care, of course they do, especially the fans. It's the FA Cup Final!

For the owners though, I'd imagine Pep has been told to win everything, but if you have to choose, we absolutely have to be in the Champs League next season.

But when all's said and done, it's one game against a top team; of course it is, it's the bloody final! You have to beat the best to lift the trophy. And we can, we really can. But we'll have to be at our best.

ETA 1.30pm on Wembley Way. Beer in hand ASAP afterwards.

We're in the Cup Final! Isn't it brilliant?!
