FA cup predictions

But when all's said and done, it's one game against a top team; of course it is, it's the bloody final! You have to beat the best to lift the trophy. And we can, we really can. But we'll have to be at our best.

Liverpool & Arsenal already knocked out of the competition. Looking back at our fixtures, they were hard and we have got to Wembley the hard way. Nobody gives you the FA cup for free. Its inevitable you will need to show resilience and staying-power.

My prediction is always a tough edgy grumpy game. Different today ? because they thumped us six weeks ago, & they need to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday.....they will only be at 98% mentally. That's good odds for any Eagle.

Because of the previous time, this game will also hugely pivot around the performance of the referee.

I am usually constipated before a big game but was pleased to pass a stool of a normal standard this morning. I sense this is a good omen.

Remember my bowel when we lift the trophy.
just remember that all brown-trouts, flushed down the drain in London, do eventually pass through Brighton on their way out to the freedom of the sea.

i have just remembered another portentous-augury about this FA cup. We passed through Millwall, like a dose of salts, to get to Wembley.

Their local paper's predicted City team.
Personally I don't believe Pep will go so attacking, but he does sometimes make odd selections for big games.
The interesting inclusion is Doku, who's rapid and would curtail Munoz's scope to raid forward.
You wouldn't want Doku going 1v1 against Richards.
Mind you there is a counter argument - would Doku cover back agsinst Sarr and Munoz?

Just got on the train at Whitstable. Feel sick with nerves. Beer can't come soon enough. Saw 3 or 4 Palace shirts at the station.

f***, I think we're gonna do it. It means more to us and we have the better fans.

I'm gonna say 3-1 Palace. Been telling everyone all week that we're not expected to win so I'll be fine if we lose but that's bollocks. This could be the best day in our history and I'll be gutted if we lose.

Come on Palace. Please.

I live in Sussex so mine is taking an expedited route.

Kids had stomch bug last weekend/early this week, laid them out for 4/5 days. Didn't think much of it as I never get their bugs.

But then...

Weds night was horrific. You've got to be fvcking kidding me I thought.

Best mate sent me a message which said. "You bleed red and blue mate, your body knows what to do."

Thursday morning I was much better. Back to normal yesterday. Ready to go today.

Top work body! (and it's not often I say that...)

Dunnow where else to put this.....but it's free delivery at the moment in the online store.

Good for the international eagles. I was able to order a few bits instead of carrying them back on the flight this weekend.

Villa fan in peace!

Just wanted to wish you guys the very best of luck this afternoon. 🙏🏼

We've been starved of silverware since I was in my early 20s, so I cannot begin to imagine what it must feel like to be in your position. Dedicated fans like your lot deserve some success, and God (*Paul McGrath), I hope it comes today against that plastic lot from up the M6!

Loved the semi final build up with the banter with the Palace fans (*until the ref kicked off the match), and have nothing but respect for you all.

*I say this even though your lot appear to have single-handedly derailed our season - Knocked us out of both cups, and the league games could prove costly in our battle with Chelsea for that Champions League spot. So 'thanks' for that!

Anyway - All the very best for today. Hope you'll all be 'Glad all over' at the final whistle!

Needed to get the Pope to die at the right time and derail your number one fan for the funeral.

Good morning Eagles. The day is here. I’ve not felt like this for as long as I can remember. It was like being a kid at Christmas, trying to sleep but watching the clock, counting until it was morning.

I still feel sick with nerves. This is ridiculous… not supposed to feel like this as an adult. All I’ve ever wanted (outside of health and family of course) was for us to lift real silverware. The FA cup being the holy grail. If we win this I promise I won’t be greedy and complain if we never win a cup again (though it would be lovely of course).

Was watching the build up on the news this morning. Eze was saying how excited he was. Then they cut to Harrland. He said they win and only qualify for champions league then this has been a terrible season and a failure… c**t!

The fa cup means nothing to them and I hope we never ever feel like that.

COYP
I also read that Pep is complaining about having to play again on Wednesday rather than say the Thursday. Hopefully they're looking at Champion's League qualification as more of a priority !!!
