FA cup predictions

I think a lot depends on de Bruyne. He was inspired in that 5-2. I'm hoping he'll be over keen to show how City will miss him, and paradoxically have an off game.

I've been on edge about this and HTF am I supposed to enjoy it tomorrow? I was screaming expletives in the first 30 seconds of the SF. Where are my meds...

Man C are overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy. We have the qualities to pose them problems but alas their quality and experience of such high-profile occasions will see them prevail.
I do not envisage my gloom giving away to sunshine.

3-1 palace

I never register to other fans forums but thought why not, I’ll have everything crossed for you tomorrow. Sunderland fan myself so understand how hard it is when you don’t support one of the very big boys.

I’ve really enjoyed watching palace. I tend to skip a lot of pl games but always make time to watch you lot play, there’s a lot of turd in the pl but palace play a nice brand of football, very watchable and highly entertaining.

Good luck lads and lasses, these beat us in the league cup but it was a very different city team snd ofc we were no where near your level.

Good luck, one last big push 💪
THANKS. Always prefer those red stripes to those black ones !

I actually really fancy us. Ollie told Pep after the last game it would be a different game if we met in the final, we've got to avoid getting outnumbered in midfield like the last hour of the 2-5, they were over us like a rash. Interesting point about their full backs coming inside - be interesting to see what Ollie will do - play Eze and Sarr deeper, or Mateta, our wing backs narrower or have one of our back three step up, probably all of these in different situations - can't see him going 3-5-2 again though. But I'm sure Ollie will make the right tweaks and our momentum, confidence, cohesion and clinical finishing will see us through. If they score first it won't affect the game plan so much as they dominate possession anyway, but if we score first they are more prone to our counter, just stay on side Ebs! 3-2 to us in extra time.

I had a dream during the week that we won 3-1, but then had another later in the week that we lost 19-0, I'm erasing that one from my memory and going for 3-1 as it is more likely.
We have players that rise to the occasion.

We just need to not start off nervy and play the game and not the occasion.

Forrest in the semi final only came into the game late in the second half when the game was already over.

without hope, Palace have nothing.
And all those Palace fans at Wemblee, must have belief.

It could be 90 minutes of a one-way thumping, or a moment of brilliance/luck, could win it.

As long as everyone gives everything, you can ask no more.

Wish I was going. 🙁

Thanks for that Willo old chap. We'd all be really despondent had you predicted a win. 😉

I think Richards and Mitchell are key. They have to be at their best. Richards needs to match Haaland - who has scored a bunch against us - in the air. Mitchell needs to handle Savinho better than he did Bailey in the semi. And, of course, Wharton needs to be fit and firing
0-2 for me. Hope I'm wrong and think our time will come: just not this year

I'm finding it hard to think about the actual game of football.

Only people around my age will understand, but I'm struggling to get past the personal and historical significance. It's hard to say of course, but I might get to see Palace in the final one more time, maybe two if I'm lucky. Three would be optimistic.
Much the same, although worse than when England messed up winning something the last couple of times, I fear that I might never see us win anything if not tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I can only put our chances at 60/40 against. My head says City will be too good for us and win by a goal or two. I don't fancy it at all if it goes to penalties. My heart hopes we can play the game of our lives and be triumphant.

I'm clinging to hope we can beat them, but my head keeps slapping me round the face every time I start to believe it can happen.
We don't beat them very often.
but we've been the form team of 2025, whilst there's have been inconsistent at best.
They'll be playing as a send off to KDB, so could turn it on
but we're overdue a win, as our 3 victories in the last 10 years were in 2015, 2018 and 2021, so we're a year past that pattern coming round again.
They schooled us 5-2 last time out, where Pep successfully changed the system, and it turned the tie.
but we've experienced that, and now know not to get complacent....
Their's is a team full of superstars who each have the ability to change a game,
but we have the Teamwork, desire and mentality to raise our game to meet the challenge.

ahh f*ck it. CP Win 3-1
