Everton Predictions.

do you think we'll come out of these games with 0 points?
If this season has taught us anything is that all are beatable. Maybe not Liverpool, they seem to be able to dig themselves out of holes even when they're not playing well.

And our run in is far from Horrendous: Of our last 8 games (Brighton, Manchester City, Bournemouth, Arsenal, Nottm Forest, Spurs, Wolves and Liverpool) only ManC, Arsenal and Liverpool you wouldn't expect anything from, but even then, not impossible. The rest are eminently winnable. So I'd expect a decent return from them, say at least 8 points from those remaining 5 games?
If I knew that, I'd probably be one of the owners.

The odds are that we will lose these games, but football is not that predictable.
We might even win at Anfield if they have already won the title.

The point is that we need to get the points in games we should be winning so we don't have to try and get them away to top six clubs.

Ideal scenario would be that we are safe from the drop well before the last day.(above brighton)
However Arse have caught up with liverpool to the point we can piss on the scousers chips at Anfield.
COYP.

Yes I mean it’s ridiculous to even think for example a club like Plymouth would beat Liverpool … oh
Liverpool are chasing a title. The FA Cup is not a priority. They were also away from home.

What is the point in making such a daft argument when it is clear to anyone with sense that we would be massive underdogs at Anfield, especially if they need to win to secure the title.

Being a loyal Palace fan does not have to include irrational optimism.

Of course I was making the point that football is unpredictable and funny results happen. After all who won when we played them last year at Anfield? Who expected us to get a draw at Man City?

By the time we play Liverpool I expect they’ll have wrapped up the title and might well be resting players ahead of a Champions League final. Who knows?

Of course the odds are in their favour but looking across the run of fixtures I think it is likely we’d pick up a few points there. In any event I think we might even have enough points as it stand to avoid relegation. While being a Palace fan doesn’t need to include irrational optimism it doesn’t need to include irrational fatalism either. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we beat Liverpool away but lost to Ipswich at home.

We have history of upsetting Liverpools big moments, the 3-3 comeback, Gerrards last appearance at Anfield, Villa Park 1990. It would be great to deny them the title on the last day.

Though we have a poor record against Everton I'd credit a lot of the recent poor results to Dyche. Not at all a fan of his negative style nor the gamesmanship (bordering on cheating) that comes from his teams but you cant deny he always made his teams hard to beat.
Under Moyes they are still pragmatic but they are a little more expansive and ambitious going forward. I think that will actually make Everton easier to play against. They have a decent team spirit but they wont be able to get up for playing Palace the way they were up for Liverpool.

2=1 (JPM & Wharton with a long range rocket). Nah, I dont care who scores and how as long as we win.

Oh yeah, we have a great record. 🙄
4-3 at Villa Park 35 years ago and 3-3 at home.

It’s about time we beat Everton and I can see us winning this one 2-1,won’t be pretty bit like the Southampton game. These sort of teams are spoilers and try to disrupt the oppositions style of play and hope for a lucky goal!

I have no idea why I think we'll win. Perhaps we're slightly better than them with our first team all available. I can see them scoring first but us maybe winning 2-1. I reckon it'll be a tough game with loads of antics.

Who said a great record? I said a record of upsetting their big moments, I remember when we were the fodder for Gerrards last home game and we beat them against the odds.

I'm really not sure what point people are trying to make.
Previous seasons will have no bearing on our meeting this time.

Liverpool are the best team in the league. Any sane person would make them big favourites.

This is a pointless debate.

Anybody know about Braithwaite's collision with O' Brien that knocked some teeth out, might need a dentist
Apparently he's got a bifurcated cusp in his lower left premolar and a collusion of dentine in his adjoining incisor. I don't what the recovery time will be in terms of Saturday but he'll probably only need a local anaesthetic so a medical gumshield could well suffice. Hope that's helpful. 🙂
