Some would say entirely accurate rather than derogatory!Derogatory but not controversial? Something amiss with your statement I feel
The division in opinion has existed for decades.

From Jan 1 Bulgaria and Romania are joining the Schegen scheme. I wonder if they will have any impact on the EU and a knock on to us?Only in the sense of controlled immigration. Whatever the EU lovers want to believe, no statistics were kept on EU nationals entering the country. None were asked whether they intended staying or just visiting. The only statistics available would be for those who, correctly registered with the HO. Those would have had no problem remaining post-Brexit

No.So it was a compliment?
There goes the inability to accept that other opinions exist. There go those mobile goalposts again.
The same as you accept the opinion of those who voted for Trump and Brexit. Doubtless the goalposts will whizz over to allow those, and every other exceptional circumstance. There goes the inability to accept that other opinions exist.
Some people are tired of towering condescension.No.
Just a straightforward observation from a particular perspective.
Some people seem to take offence very easily. Why is their skin so thin? Perhaps because they know in their heart of hearts they made a crass error but lack the humility to admit it.
The Tories did nothing of the sort!It didn't, we took back control of our borders only for the Tories to betray the voters.
I always said that this was a possibility, the difference is that we could then sack the government responsible at the next election which we duly did.
The fact that we then elected a government that is even more incompetent and pro immigration I wont take responsibility for, I didn't vote for them and no doubt there is buyers remorse amongst some.
Wrong. The same as you accept the opinion of those who voted for Trump and Brexit. Doubtless the goalposts will whizz over to allow those, and every other exceptional circumstance.
Just as others are tired of Little Englander short sightedness, xenophobia or racism. Some people are tired of towering condescension.
What's the difference between racism and this opinion?Just as others are tired of Little Englander short sightedness, xenophobia or racism.
Straight out of the Catch-22 playbook.Wrong.
I accept, without question, the right of anyone to hold such views.
That though will not stop me believing them to be misguided or for me to stop pointing out why that is so. That’s my right too.
Just as others are tired of Little Englander short sightedness, xenophobia or racism.
Yes, France have managed immigration brilliantly. And their left wing government doing so well. There's a tent on the banks of the Seine for anyone wishing a cheap holiday there. Like a booze cruise, only cheaper and with no booze. And their gross incompetence.
'Consequences' - Francois Hollande French PM.
The UK never planned for, or really accepted that there would be any.
A marked characteristic of the tory years 2010-24, especially the rise in immigration from 200,000 to nearly one million caused entirely by their policies or lack of them but that's only one example, they never did detail, especially Johnston.
They thought that wanting things was enough.
😎
Y'oud be in-Seine to try it.Yes, France have managed immigration brilliantly. And their left wing government doing so well. There's a tent on the banks of the Seine for anyone wishing a cheap holiday there. Like a booze cruise, only cheaper and with no booze.
I do dispute it because EU nationals still use the egates so no number count. How do we know how many arrived under freedom of movement? That’s my point. I don’t know where you get your information from but this is from the horses mouth. That’s surely what free movement means.
Nevertheless by all the evidence I have seen we now have greater numbers of people arriving to fill vacancies than were arriving under free movement from the EU. Do you dispute that?
The EU citizens who remained here under the transition arrangements are irrelevant to that.
The increased number of illegals is another issue but I suspect Brexit has done nothing to reduce them.
Yes it will as 3rd country nationals living in those countries will be able to move without checks, as will drugs/contrabandFrom Jan 1 Bulgaria and Romania are joining the Schegen scheme. I wonder if they will have any impact on the EU and a knock on to us?
In 1999/2000 Tony Blair decreed we should become a more diverse population, so it became easier to enter the UK. This is a FACT as I was working as a Visa Officer when this came in. The results of this were gradually increasing immigration year on yearAnd their gross incompetence.

as far as I am aware the 'boat people' DONT work, just ponce off the UK taxpayer and commit some pretty horrible crimesThat’s surely what free movement means.
