From Jan 1 Bulgaria and Romania are joining the Schegen scheme. I wonder if they will have any impact on the EU and a knock on to us?

The Tories did nothing of the sort!

They did what every government would have done, and will continue to do. Which was to adopt pragmatic strategies to ensure the economy functioned.

Reducing the need for immigration demands a much longer programme of internal changes to social welfare and training alongside any benefits from increased birth rates or automation. It can never be within one Parliament, let alone instant, and any Party promising otherwise is lying.

I accept, without question, the right of anyone to hold such views.

That though will not stop me believing them to be misguided or for me to stop pointing out why that is so. That’s my right too.

Yes, France have managed immigration brilliantly. And their left wing government doing so well. There's a tent on the banks of the Seine for anyone wishing a cheap holiday there. Like a booze cruise, only cheaper and with no booze.

The EU citizens who remained here under the transition arrangements are irrelevant to that.

The increased number of illegals is another issue but I suspect Brexit has done nothing to reduce them.

I do dispute it because EU nationals still use the egates so no number count. How do we know how many arrived under freedom of movement? That’s my point. I don’t know where you get your information from but this is from the horses mouth.

Yes it will as 3rd country nationals living in those countries will be able to move without checks, as will drugs/contraband

In 1999/2000 Tony Blair decreed we should become a more diverse population, so it became easier to enter the UK. This is a FACT as I was working as a Visa Officer when this came in. The results of this were gradually increasing immigration year on year

as far as I am aware the 'boat people' DONT work, just ponce off the UK taxpayer and commit some pretty horrible crimes
 
Paris is a lovely place........if you have a time-machine and can go back one or two hundred years. Today , its looking like a post-civilisation video game.
